I can't believe not once company has managed to provide a decent screen protector for this years phones....
I’ve tried the Torras, Spigen, ESR, and Belkin this year. They’re all decent in my opinion. Each has minor issues as well as slight advantages over the others, but none are bad in reality.

Any reason why you chose to pay the premium yet didn’t have Apple install it ? Just curious. Hope it don’t kill me 😂
Two reasons. One, my local Apple Store is almost always extremely busy and chaotic, so I avoid going there if at all possible. Two, I’m curious about these products beyond just using them, so I prefer to install them myself to experience the process.

There are no good screen protectors for iPhone 16 at this moment, especially the Pro Max I have tested some so far and there are issues with all of them at this moment this is my ranking:

1 - Torras/ Ultraglass Unbreak - they are basically the same and I suspect they are from the same factory, very thick glass , Torras has a better anti-dust applicator but they both have issue with the black border covering part of the screen and unfortunately is something we need to live with until they correct because there is nothing better, and they both have less gaps.

2- ESR - Huge gaps they barely cover the front glass of the phone only the screen section, and depending how the application goes can have rainbow effect

3- Belkin UG2 (this one not used but saw on friends' phone) - Great coverage maybe the one with less gaps right now on the market but extremely cheap and weak glass, the one I checked on my friend's phone had 1 part chipped on the border and he never dropped or hit the phone, very thin glass

One that I will never consider is Spigen, it’s crazy to think a big brand like Spigen being so lazy to release a screen protector without anti-dust application

The Belkin is the thinnest on the market. This is good for touch sensitivity and clarity, but also makes it more fragile than thicker models. Trade offs…
Correction. It’s the second thinnest. The shellrus is thinner .23 Belkin is .29 not that it matters lol both still good protectors

The guy at Apple said that they have been having issues with the screen protectors. People complaining of lifting and cracking after installation. I told him I still wanted one installed on the exchange phone so I can show them that I’m not crazy and that something really is wrong with the phone. Installation was perfect on the new phone on the first try. They said that the old phone was “warped.”
Sounds all too familiar 😂

I’ve been in contact with Belkin and they have agreed to exchange my broken screen protector. Fairly easy process totally cost free for me. Contacted support (since the official warranty exchange formular doesn’t work for in country). The protector was in backorder so I’ll not receive it before third week of October.

I installed the panzer glass ultra wide yesterday (panzerglass) but on the sides I think it’s covering the screen. Anyone has a test image to see is bad it is?
Just find a plain white image and look on the sides. I’ve tried the PanzerGlass ultra wide fit and the Ceramic Glass (most expensive they offer) and both are covering parts of the screen. I’ve been in contact with them but they don’t seem to care.

How is the WSKEN protector? I haven't seen much reviews of the protector

Something that I discovered trying another 4 Torras protector and some Ultraglass, those protectors they are not supposed to cover part of the screen, but the fit needs to be precise, what happens is even with the anti dust frame the fit is not precise, sometimes apply a millimeter more to one side than another covering part of the screen on my 5th attempt I got a installation without covering the borders

Manufactures has 2 way to fix this, or they release a better and very precise alignment tray, or reduce slight the border for some margin of error during application and avoid covering the screen, Apple got the manufacturers completely off guard this year specially on Pro Max.
