How is the WSKEN protector? I haven't seen much reviews of the protector
I applied this one - usually use Torras but thought I would try the WSKEN. The quality is good, much the same as the Torras, but also suffers from its black borders encroaching into the screen real estate. I flagged this with WSKEN and they immediately refunded me the purchase price. For the time being I can live with it but when the manufacturers release the Mk2 screen protectors will swap out. I think it will become very obvious for many, that own different manufacturers screen protectors, when the new Siri launches where by the iPhone screen borders illuminate when it is active.

You may as well go with the one that has the best/easiest application method at this point. All have compromises. Need to wait until the new versions come out from the various manufacturers.

The ESR Amorite was insanely easy and quick to install. Aligned well, there is a gap but it's not terrible with a case on. I did lose some touch sensitivity which is a little annoying, so I may try swapping to a Spigen I purchased as well. Rainbow effect is barely noticeable unless it's a white screen, and even then it doesn't really bother me that much. I'd rather have that than cutting off some of my screen with ones that have black borders.

I also have a dbrand on pre-order, so we'll see how they do when it's released.

My phone arrives on Tuesday. Here are the two options I’ve ordered. Solid deals for Prime Day.

X-it 2-Pack Screen Protector for... https://www.amazon.com/dp/B0DCJH61MR?ref=ppx_pop_mob_ap_share
Oh dear. The WSKEN as much as I love their past protectors , these ones have black borders which will cover your pixels. If you can live with that you’ll love it. It even protects the earpiece from dust which I also liked.
I was about to order the x-it but decided to go for something else. Forgot the name it’ll be here tomorrow and I’ll report back.

I think most manufacturers were caught out this year but give it a month or two and most will likely have revised their designs and come out with improved versions. The issue then will be they will likely just list the improved versions under existing sales listings meaning it might be a lottery of what iteration of screen protector you’ll receive.

What is the best screen protector for the 16 Pro?
After using ESR, Spigen, Ultraglass, Belkin and a local brand (not even worth mentioning) I really couldn't tell you. Esr has the worst coverage, their qc is spotty but their installer and support are excellent. Spigen has probably like a couple % better coverage and maybe just a little bit better, however it has mediocre installer and support. Ultraglass has probably the best coverage, so good in fact that it will cover some pixels (very, very tiny bit) and is so thick that i felt like back when displays weren't laminated. Their customer service was also top notch and the product is good quality but just doesn't fit. Belkin glass is thin and has a great feeling but honestly i feel like it has the worst clarity and probably the worst diy installer. I got lots of dust despite being quite experienced at installing but their support is also quite good. Personally i'd go with spigen or esr if you don't mind just a really slight rainbowing effect.

Edit: i have just checked using calipers, the Ultraglass is the widest followed by spigen and belking and esr ex aequo by a hair

I can't believe not one company has been able to make a decent screen protector for the new iPhones. Just weird.

Just tried this one since it was only 9.99 for a three pack and I’m pretty impressed. Yes it’s got black borders but it’s not as aggressive as other black border protectors I’ve used. More importantly it also doesn’t posses a large gap for dust to be trapped. Definitely worth the 9.99 for the time being. It also doesn’t have a mesh to cover earpiece which I miss.

Completely agree, have you tested Torras? from what I see comparing with Ultraglass they are basically the same just with a different brand.

Do you have a pic of this one installed on the phone?

The new phones haven't even been out a month yet. The Pros have new dimensions this year, along with a thinner bezel which makes the fit need to be even more precise. A lot of these companies were probably working off of basic specs or a non-working dummy model. Give them time to redesign the part, retool their machines, manufacture, ship to warehouses, etc...

Find a protector that's good enough for now and worry about finding the perfect one in a few months.

I understand your point of view, but the idea of a protector is to protect the front glass from the moment you get the phone, those companies should do better or at least have access to apple design docs before releasing anything, can't remember any other iPhone release with those problems before, also the idea to change protector all the time is annoying, this should be a one step process apply and forget, hopefully they take this as lesson since they are probably receiving a lot of return/refund requests

Here are some photos. It’s not bad and I do like it especially for the price. But and this to me was the most frustrating part of this design they have their pull tab separate from the screen protector. So one has to attach it on and whilst doing so can easily get the screen protector misaligned since the holes have backing on them . In essence the one already pre installed in the tray will be the easiest to install. The other two spare ones not so much. Also the oleophobic coating is not as good as others. But like I said the borders seem to go out microns further and give good coverage. Hell for 9.99 it’s definitely a tide me over and value for money.

In the photos I used a magnifying glass to show close up’s of the edges.

That is a really good coverage exactly what I was looking for, yours is the Pro Max?

That does look like a very good fit and probably the best I’ve seen yet. Doesn’t the screen protector cover the earpiece speaker at the top since it goes all the way to the edges?

I have not since i hate when borders obstruct the bezels, so i see no point in doing so especially since torras is pretty well covered on forums.

Such a good fit. But I value anti fingerprint more than fit

This might be the first one that really goes edge to edge, but i'm pretty sure once you look off axis content will disappear so it's still a nono for me. Also it doesn't have even a cutout for ear speaker?

Yes. Pro Max.
Very tempted to test this one, since I also use silicone case and true edge to edge protector for me makes more sense, but was a little concerned on one of the reviews saying that during the application scratched the phone screen

I got no idea. Perhaps they already had a scratch on their screen that they didn’t notice. Never had this problem and have been using various tempered glass screen protectors for years.

I got no idea. I did close up photos. I personally prefer the mesh type that cover the speaker but for 9.99 I ain’t too fussed until something better comes around.

No. There’s definitely a gap there. I thought my close of shot showed it ? Redid photos under magnification.
