Metagamers video convinced me to order one. Seeing how far the glass goes past the oled portion sold me. No wonder there’s no rainbowView attachment 2427465

Oh wow! I did get the Spigen Glas tr ezfit for my 16 pro. It doesn't affect the image at all, super easy to install, I can feel the oleophobic coating is awesome, no rainbow effect. It's pretty much perfect, except it doesn't go edge to edge, which is what I wanted. It does cover ever so slightly more than the screen. I opened the camera app and nothing goes past the glass edges.

The problem is that the space between the glass and case = dust magnet.

Does anyone know if the Belkin Ultra 2 retains the same image quality, no rainbow, is oleophobic? Cause if it does really cover edge to edge I might jump on that.

You might very well be right. It might be pretty much the same after taking a second look at it.

Second photo is showing rainbow effect, as soon as I saw the photo I was like "oh **** no", I just checked every single possible angle and I see 0 rainbow effect, so not sure if that's just from the other phone's camera?

Thanks @Sptzz, most helpful posts in this thread. I've never used a case or a screen protector since they were mostly plastic but this convinced me to get the Spigen...or the Belkin.

I’m curious, does the “rainbow effect” around the edge actually bother people while they’re using the phone? I’ve had it on every glass screen protector with a clear edge, but I‘ve only ever been able to see it when holding the phone at an oblique angle specifically to make it happen. It’s never been something I could see while using the phone normally.

Ultraglass 2 - two different install kits?

Notice this one guy's kit has a little felt screen wiper that cleans the screen as you are pulling the plastic to install the glass:

This one does not have that feature, What gives?

Can't find any video showing the Pro Max version

I ordered from Apple. Turns out it delivered yesterday to my work 😂 it was sitting on my desk when I walked in today. I received the top version, with the little cleaning portion, will install when I get home in a nice steamed bathroom

"felt screen wiper" as in microfiber cloth?

Guess I'll order one from Apple, fastest delivery for me is Sept 30th :(

Please let me know how the install went and the protector is after you install it?

The one for the pro closely resembles how they do it in store with their machine. Only difference is that the phone is facing up with their machine whereas the phone is facing down. If I ever have to do my own I like the facing down kit better.

Just found this with the 16 Pro Max and Belkin Ultraglass 2 protector and now I'm scared

Maybe I'll just stick with my ESR for the time being

No. When you pull the plastic tab the top portion has felt that wipes your screen as your pulling View attachment 2427761

I installed that yesterday after I was not happy with my ESR Amorite too because of the Rainbow effect.
Also after Torras, and WSKEN also let me down I am finally happy.
Last time I tried the Belkin ones was a few years back and I didn`t liked the cutout for the notch.

I am very happy at the moment with mine and the installation was also easy. It also has a tiny little bit of Rainbow effect but only on a white screen with high brightness.

That’s a bad one. There’s some bad in a bunch but like what happened to me I had a manufacturing defect in my phone that wouldn’t allow screen protectors to go down. Once they swapped my phone no issues!

So, it's the phone and not the protector?

My ESR is on perfect with none of those problems so I should be OK with the Belkin?

Holy crap 250 miles. Ok yeah. I see why you don’t go!

But yeah after 10 tries to get one to go down they realized it was my phone. But if you have one going down now I’d say you’re safe. Mine was warped ever so slightly on the screen so no matter what it wasn’t going to go down.
