48 Megapixels is a scam on the iPhone. Pixel binning is used almost all the time.

I'd be curious to know how many 48 Megapixels pictures I took with my 14 Pro across the hundreds of pictures I took with it. No matter what lens, no matter how much light, no matter what photo mode... it seems like I almost never take 48 Megapixels pictures.
Use ProRaw mode; then, it delivers around 34-36Mpixels' worth of resolution...

Ultra wide certainly needs a big upgrade. Makes me think how many mp will telephoto be? As no way the ultra wide will have 48mp but telephoto has 12mp
It's only providing 8k video that can force Apple to indeed implement 48 Mpixels on these two cameras.

I hope they do away with the Dynamic Island soon. It's an eyesore. Can't wait until the iPhone looks like this.
Agreed. Fanboys won't admit and deny until they get the taste of it, given there aren't any alternative at the moment. I bet if Apple released one with Dynamic Island vs one with Hole-punch, everyone would be jump in to HP. I'd rather take the bazzel/hole punch over DI any day.

I had a 12 Pro and then got the 13 Pro, the camera's and battery is night and day on the 13 Pro and the notch is much smaller.
You're getting poor info from somewhere
Are you seriously recommending that I go for a discount 13 Pro, in preference to the 14 Pro or even the supposed 15 Pro as my next purchase?

As to the attraction of a better camera, I certainly liked what I could do with the iPhone 7 and then the 12 Pro. That experience prompted me to explore what I could achieve with a s/h Fujifilm X-T2 & lens. That is reasonably easy to carry about, but as the best camera is the one which I will nearly always be carrying, I'm interested in what is being said about the 15 and of course, to stay on topic, on what is mooted for the 16.

I doubt this happens. Apple is not known to be an early adopter of new standards and certainly not standards not fully finalized, which will likely be the case. We will be lucky to see it on the 17 Pro series but more likely to appear on the 18 series iPhone’s.

WTH difference does Wi-Fi 6e or 7 make when “Gigabit” Internet costs $100/mo and is the fastest service available to residential consumers?

The 15 line is clearly a “S” year. Nice upgrades but not nearly as compelling as the 16 line in 2024 will be. Still gonna upgrade this year though.
This. It's an "S" version that really benefits people coming from an XS or an 11. Anyone about that should simply be patient and save their money until next year.
