I wonder too..
Reporting the the thickness at the thinnest point of the body is misleading. Show the thickness at the camera bump.
Yeah exactly. By that logic I’m only as big around as my head.
Ask a mother if the shoulders count.

The 17 Air supposedly replaces the 17 Plus.So many models iPhone 17, 17 Pro, 17 Plus, 17 Pro Max, 17 Air like wtf
Hm, is that why ZDNet judged the iPhone 16 Pro Max to have the longest battery life of any phone (Tom's Guide ranks it 3rd)? Pretty impressive for "stale" battery tech - especially since iPhones are known to have the smallest capacity batteries as well. And again, the focus for everything in Apple is cost. The battery tech they have is so stale and they know it. Time to adapt and scale which will drive costs. But again, profit reigns supreme and they will adopt after android does.
Yes I would like a thinner phone. I'm not too concerned with battery life."Thinner" is a bizarre goal. Is anyone asking for a thinner phone?
The iPad Pro is fine at 5.1 mm, I was expecting something around that, it would actually be lightweight. At 7+ mm not so much.Thinner than the iPhone 6? You mean, thinner than the device that become known (among other things) for being easily bendable?
The article says that the issue is cost. The iPhone is a different form factor (much smaller), so has different technical requirements and trade-offs than the iPad Pro.Why would they run into battery issues if they already make an ultra thin battery for the iPad Pro?
I don’t think that many people will want to carry a > 300 g brick around.I do hope Apple someday makes a phone that is a full cm thick and has better batterylife.
Probably, but I'm wondering how they will position this model.“Air” is just another marketing scheme name now
I’m in the market for a more lightweight phone, and with current tech that implies thinner."Thinner" is a bizarre goal. Is anyone asking for a thinner phone?
You mean the trifold? That one has the surface area for more battery, plus it is quite expensive considering it only works in Chinese market. (Imagine iPhone fold costs $21000 minimum)How is the new Huawei phone 3.66mm then?
Hard disagree on that, the rounded edges just feel better. The 5 needs a case, with the 6 a case is optional.“Air” is just another marketing scheme name now
(Like “Pro”)
Love seeing that 5S though!
From the GOAT 🐐 era
Unmatched in hand feel
(Also, make another Mini please)
SAME!!!!I can not lie, I want an iPhone Phat built like a brick nice and thick with battery for days
