I’ve enjoyed the past few days in the Phone Rebel Gen 7, but going back to the Ultra-Slim Pitaka feels amazing. On a phone that weighs 165 grams, the difference in feel between a case that weighs 19 grams and one that weighs 50 grams is massive. It’s also nice not having such a beautiful device completely hidden under TPU…

Making me want an air again

I’m always sneaking around this forum looking for the perfect case for my iPhone. Seems like alot of discussion between Paragon and Apple techwoven/ silicone cases.

I happened to own both and Paragon is the more chunky one to my hands. The experience of holding Paragon is more like naked 16PM (different materials between side and back and more squarish) while holding my tech woven is like 17PM. 17PM is on paper measured taller, wider and heavier but it feel surprisingly better in hands than 16PM.

Design play a part too.

My Tank is the case my phone will live in most of the time. I might put the Sheath on now and then for a change but for me the Tank is everything I want in a case.

My only minor flaw is that the power button is a little easy to press.
The Tank will be your daily?

Phone Rebel Gen 7 is probably the best Rebel case to date. The fit is tight, buttons are perfect, very slim, super grippy, strong Magsafe ETC. The aramid fiber on the back is very textured and grippy, must be a new blend of fiber or something. The full orange kit maybe a little gaudy and I might change the camera ring and rebel logo back to black.
One thing I'm not too crazy about is that hard metal plateau cover and will not risk my plateau getting scratched trying that thing out. You also cannot us different colored camera frames with it as the black is built in.
I might try to see if I can get a plateau skin on the back of it (my plateau is stark naked again).
PR should have put some kind of protector on the back of this contraption  Here are some quick pics:

Sheeesh, that orange lense with the orange phone looks good!

Yikes I definitely wouldn’t install the camera plateau cover either plus I don’t care for the loud “GEN 7” on it.

I do agree keeping the camera ring and rebel logo black would look best. The full orange kit is just orange overload imo.

Let’s see after a while if “fingerprint city” begins.

Otherwise looking good! 😉

Looking good. I’m glad to hear the Gen 7 Pro version hits the marks like the Air version.

The plateau cover is just weird. I guess they were going for a Mass Effect N7 vibe with that logo? Functionally, it’s either direct metal to metal contact, which is a big no-no, or there’s an air gap, which will make it the greatest dust catcher of all time. Doesn’t seem well thought out.

Nice!!! I’ve yet to unbox my frosty yet switched over to the sheath for today. I didn’t want to bother with the camera cover for the same reasons you said it was a poor choice to make it fully out of metal.

Only £1400 :D
