Alright got the MatterHT clear Ice phone back.

First impressions: Magnet is strong, it is a little heavy but i think even Suti's comes out at around a similar weight (50g). It adds around 3-4mm of thickness as well. The edges feel smooth and the transition between phone and phoneback is seamless.

Just exactly what I was looking for. I don’t mind the weight since it’s only for the back. I hope it’s scratch easily like Süti’s did.

What's the lightest case you've found that you've settled on? I just want something cheap but extremely minimal and not heavy
At 21 grams, the Apple clear is the lightest I currently own. It’s a very nice case, but not necessarily inexpensive.

Slightly thicker than the cactus and andar but that’s to be expected. MagSafe is strong. Feels good in the hand. Reminds me of the phonerebel frosted but a little thicker. Honestly not bad of a case. Will probably give it to my wife when her 17 pro max comes in. She used the frosty all last year and liked it. She should like this synthesis too. What case is this?? Looks cool

Fwiw, I posted pics of my Nomad Traditional case in this thread earlier, but that case appears to have a bigger cutout if that’s your concern. Also, my Ookla results were posted yesterday, no difference either.

Here’s another pic:

Sorry if I missed something but the USB C cutout on my Andar Aspen on my 17 PM fits both the supplied Apple cable and the Anker cable perfectly.

I am still waiting for the Suti Alpine Orange phone back for my silver 17 pro. I have high hopes.

FYI, per Suti, the clear is the heaviest. Silicone and Nanoleather are lighter. Carbon fiber is the lightest and thinnest but sadly not be offered for the new iPhones ☹️

I thought about clear but they did it dirty with the full MagSafe circle 🤣

That and the fact that the clear scratched up so bad for me is why I didn’t order the clear phone back from Süti.

I ordered an Andar Aspen for my 17 Pro, but the USB cutoff isn’t centered. I pressed my USB against the cutout to make it fit my cable. I contacted Andar and their customer service is challenging to say the least. I could have lived with this, but after talking with them I am returning and will not purchase anything from them again.
That's a shame. It's perfectly centered on the Aspen on my 17 PM and fits both my Apple and Anker cables.

Thanks. Looks like I will have to order both and check it out!
I got the clear Casekoo on Amazon with the ring on the back for propping up the phone, ring swivels so works in portrait or landscape mode. I really like it but I'm using my Andar Aspen, love that case.

I have this Synthesis Frost for my 17 pro. It is boxier and thicker than my dbrand ghost 2.0. Negative for me! They are comparable hybrid cases. Other than that, it is not bad. If I had to keep one, I’d lean towards the ghost, at the moment 😂

Aluminum silver Arc Pulse for my sliver 17 pro. I’ll try to take pics later. There are a lot of pics on Arc’s Instagram page…enter_arc.
Just saw an instagram (enter_arc) video of a silver Arc Pulse case on a silver iPhone 17 pro and must say it looks superb. For me it makes the white MagSafe glass part blend in better.

Edit. In comparison the iPhone Air pics didn’t look too good, made the iPhone Air look more bulky

yeah I agree :/ Id get the ghost but I don't like that it covers the camera bar, and the gloss is smudge heaven
You back in the cactus?
Actually in the Andar lol tried to keep the synthesis on today but took it off like 4 hours ago, and I don't miss it :/ I want my money back but ill just give it to my wife

Had some Best Buy gift cards so I picked up the Terra Cotta AS and my goodness is this color just perfect! This on the silver 17PM will be so good!
Also, is it just me or does the AS feel slightly less slippery this year? Anyone using it as a daily who can compare to last year’s AS?

Yeah, it’s a great combo! My daily.

I prefer open plateau as well. The clear back is a smudge magnet to be honest at least with the silver 17 pro). The ghost feels better in the hand and has a better form factor.

Has anyone purchased or tested the new Arc Pulse for iPhone Air? It sounds very interesting. I tried the AliExpress alternatives for my iPhone 15 and I'm very happy with them.

Have the same question. Perhaps check out their instagram page enter_arc. I’ve seem some pics and videos and think maybe the Air looks more bulky with the Arc case but hard to say.

I would say the Matter clear phoneback is similar to the dbrand ghost back piece. I've attached it to magsafe a few times today and put it on hard desks and in pocket and i notice maybe a very tiny hairline scratch only seen in certain lighting.

elago silicone MagSafe case, Stone colour

The colour is OK, but in retrospect I think I would have been better off getting a different colour. The grey "Stone" colour looks a bit drab against the Cosmic Orange, and is probably better suited to the silver iPhone.

Note that the MagSafe ring is not exposed like it might seem in that picture. It's covered by the soft material that lines the case. Also, the MagSafe ring is not marked on the outside of the case. It's just blank there (which I prefer). MagSafe strength is pretty good.

The silicone is a bit more grippy than the phone itself (which I find mildly slippery), but it's not ultra grippy. All the buttons feel good, and the Camera Control button works with the capacitive features. I paid all of CA$15 (US$11) plus tax. This should serve me well until I can find a decent quality leather quality case I like.

BTW, remember that wireless antennae are located in the camera plateau, so it would be advisable to avoid cases with a metal support ring or a metal stand built into the camera ring of the case. The last leather case I got used a metal ring to strengthen the camera ring so I returned it. For that leather case I also didn't like the plain cutout for the Camera Control.
