It's actually mind-boggling to me that the 5.6mm, 5.8oz Air is BY FAR the most durable phone in the line-up. And ever created by Apple.

I love aluminum in more stationary products, like laptops, but handheld devices... It's a no from me, dawg.
I know people who have base models and they don’t look nearly in good shape as the pre 17pro pro models.

Only time will tell if the durability.
We already have the answer. Assuming it’s engineered properly, titanium will always outperform aluminum. The recent durability tests done by jerryrigeverything and others (as well as Apple’s own statements) indicate that the current Pro models are not as tough as even the ultra-thin, titanium Air.

Is it the same aluminum as previous base models? If yes, most of the past base models always have “chipping” especially around the camera rings.

A coworker has black 15 base model and they have a clear skin back and sides. They take care of their iPhone. Slight chipping around the camera ring.

With the 17pro I have a clear skin on the back and sides, screen protector on the front.

I think all the flagship smartphones are made of aluminum.

If you use a protective case, it’s pretty much a moot point—your phone will be fine. If I had a 17 Pro, I probably wouldn’t use it without a case though…

Like I said above the only issue I can see is using a case with an open plateau. The edges of the plateau definitely have a potential having chipping.

Just put the C1 case on my 17 PM and my instant thought is that I dislike it although it does look very cool

The lip going around the screen bothers me, buttons aren’t particularly clicky (compared to the TechWoven, I know there’s the price difference) and the phone feels extra bulky

Going to give it a couple days before I decide to return it or not

Oh god. I just ordered today. I then saw all the posts about how the “2 left in stock” thing was fake and it’s shown that for weeks, so I emailed them requesting a cancellation if it’s indeed not in stock. This was their response

View attachment 2566423

to sum it up " were sorry our order from aliexpress got held in customs, we will ship your case soon please don't cancel"

Rhinoshield releasing something new; AirX?

Anyone tried it?

I like the Rhinoshield website as I can select my exact phone and colour, and get a representation of how my green phone will look in their cases.

I bought the ESR clear case quite cheaply from amazon, and it's great quality. Clicky buttons, good camera control thing, great fit. I posted photos earlier.

If it turns yellow in the next 6-8 months, my plan is to buy a Rhinoshield one as I'll probably be in Taiwan then and they're cheaper there!

Hi are there any cases for the iphone 17 pro max where you can swap the buttons out please? Think there could be some Torras ones? TIA

For different colours? The Rhinoshield website lets you pick from loads of different coloured buttons and you can see (kind of) how they'd look.
