Somebody posted this case from AliExpress. (I apologize of not crediting them) Ordered on 10/21 and it arrived today. Not bad all the way from China. Price has gone up a little, I paid $6.20 (USD) I understand the COG's must be really low, but just logistically it's hard to imagine any money being made. I'm 60 miles North of LA and someone hand delivered it.

Anyhow.. it's this one: Orange Metal Lens Frame Carbon Fiber Pattern Phone Case For iPhone 17 Pro Magnetic Wireless Charging Protect Cover *Mine is Color "E"

All in all, grippy and colorful. Snug fit and nice buttons. No rattle. No camera control, just a slot. Minimal raisivity so no slam boy certification, but still it's pretty nice and magsafe is pretty strong. zero branding. Price is up to $11.95 (USD) so it's still quite the bargain, 10/10 would buy again

It was me who shared AliExpress; you ordered slightly different color but same case. I think it’s same as the “Knit” someone else shared here:

One I ordered:

Brilliant.. thank you for the recommendation. What's your opinion? I really like my Pitaka, but my early feeling on this one is that it's pretty darned nice, although no camera control.

Hot take: for money it’s definitely a looker!

I don’t particularly mind the camera control exposed; I don’t think I’ve came across an implementation of covering it that I like as well as it using it BARE. I like the buttons slightly protruding rather than being cut around power button on one side and action and volume on the other. I wish it was REAL fiber. For the money, compared to what a Pitaka costs, I can’t be mad. I also will say I don’t think it would do a better nor worse job of protecting phone in say a waist high drop. Absolutely wins “the my favorite looking case vote.”

Also, for money, this case is super hard to beat. Fits good/tight-ish on phone and I really like the “grip” about it without being too much.

I ordered a Sheath, Paragon, and Synthesis Frosted for the 17 Pro on Wednesday (knowing the Sheath and Paragon were backed up and would come later). I was hoping Caudabe would go ahead and ship the Synthesis since it's showing as in stock and shipping, but I haven't gotten anything but the purchase confirmation email so far. I'm assuming at this point, they're just holding the Synthesis until the entire order is ready to go.

Kinda sucks, but it is what it is. I'm assuming they don't want to have to pay shipping twice on one order, which is kinda understandable.
Thanks! I emailed them asking if they would ship out the synthesis first, lets see what they say

That certainly looks super stylish! The pattern is so chic!

I didn’t weight before putting my phone in. I surely will once I swap cases. I just pray I can even get my phone out of this case 😳 it was one TIGHT mother to get on.
I’m glad I read that before preordering the Paragon 😂 I’ve banned every case I have to wrestle to get my phone out (except for the Beats, it’s just too pretty 😂). Wasn’t worried about that before with my 15PM because that phone was a brick, but with the soft aluminium I’d be worried about scratches.
Let us know how the extraction went 😅

Depends on the material. If it’s a hard plastic like the Ghost then yea.

Yea, the Paragon was scary tight to get the phone into. I’m going to swap cases here in a couple of hours and pray for no scratches 😳 I’ll report back after the extraction.

Seems like the 'shipping' of my Tank was just them arranging the shipping to get tracking details before ready to send, so they can say they fulfilled the 'end of October' ship date.

I fully expect them to actually send soon but a bit crafty of them. 😏

Caudabe Paragon Precise 17PM weight = 48.2 grams.

Okay, extraction is complete and I'm happy to report, no scratches :) This case came off much easier than it went on.
The interior edges along the display are very stiff and sharp and that had me worried.

The key to removing these precise cases, pop off the top two corners first and just peel the whole case down from the top. If you try to remove from either side the case will get hung up on the camera lenses

The Paragon is definitely a good case, but extremely tight to get on the phone.

Back in the Sheath for the day.

How do you like the Sheath?
