I'm loving my Pitaka Ultraslim Moonrise on my Silver 17PM. I mostly used my 13PM caseless but I kinda hate the design of the new Pro line so I just needed something lightweight to make it look better, and Pitaka is doing the job!
Do you use a screen protector? I’m going without for the 17 pro and just wish the Pitaka had a bit of a screen lip but without it I don’t feel comfortable using it

I do always use a screen protector especially since I used to go caseless on the 13PM and as you said this case doesn't offer front protection. This time I just got the screen protector Apple installs at their store the second it came out of the box. It comes with replacements in store as well.

Hey, maybe the log jam Caudabe's had is finally breaking.
My gray Sheath precise, black Paragon precise, Synthesis frost and related replacement buttons for my 17 Pro shipped!
I'm about 80 miles from Cincinnati and usually Caudabe orders come fast. We'll see if they arrive tomorrow but should be Wednesday at the latest.

I just received the Spigen Nano Pop Magfit in black/grey, for my 17PM. I had this case in blue/yellow (Caseology back then) for my 13PM and loved it. The sides on this version are very rough texture for grip and the rest of the black is a smooth silicone material. A nice lip around the screen (I don’t use a screen protector) if that is your thing, like other Spigen cases. Similar dimensions to the Apple silicone case, but I think this one feels slightly thinner on the sides.

I can’t speak to the form factor, but the weight is TechWoven @ 34.6 grams vs Sheath @ 53.3 grams.
I have an Air this year, but on both my 15PM and 16PM the Sheath was beefy. Since this year’s Sheath is even heavier than the older models, it likely still falls into that category.
The silver 2.3 buttons for my Sheath are loose as a goose. However the stock buttons are nice and tight.

I got the regular Beats case as it's been on sale on Amazon and I think it's one of my favorites so far. I don't find it slippery like many people have said, it's pretty thin, and the open bottom doesn't bother me. Doesn't get slimy feeling or creak ike the clear case. Buttons are great. Can't complain
