Paragon is a great design. IMO best design on the market. Probably the slimmest in that type of design vs the Mous and Grip, banana types.

Moonstone looks clean but I’m kinda worried if it will stain. I read a Reddit thread claiming it left a MagSafe stain on the Ember version. Anyone else experience this:

Seems like Otterbox went downhill. Back in the day they were great.Oh, OtterBox...
Last month I got the "Defender Pro" case for my iPhone 17 Pro (color: "Blue Sentiment").
I put my phone in the case and immediately noticed that it didn't feel right.
The plastic inner part of the case is a bit bigger than the phone, which leaves a "void" all around it. With the case fully assembled you can push & twist and feel the phone move around inside. There is some foam for the bottom half of the case, but nothing for the top of the phone.
The sides of the case could be easy pulled down, exposing the soft & squishy aluminum frame of the iPhone 17 Pro. The fit on the iPhone 17 Pro was so loose that you could even push a corner of the phone out of the case (not something you'd expect from a case that comes in 3 pieces and needs to be assembled around it).
I looked up issues with the case and saw some people recommend contacting support to get a replacement. So I did. I told OtterBox support that my case did not seem to fit correctly, and asked if I was supposed to just return it or get a replacement from them.
OtterBox Support told me that they have an updated the design of their case, and also told me this:
"We would be happy to replace your case, waive our shipping and handling fee, and as a ‘thank you’ for being a customer we’d like to send you an OtterBox power product that you can use with your new iPhone."
Oh wow, a fixed case AND a free "power product" (battery pack?)? Sounds like OtterBox is on top of it!
They had me confirm which case I got (something I had told them about in the initial email, as well). Then sometime later, I get an order confirmation for this item:
DEFENDER PRO MAGNETS CAMERA CONTROL IPH 17 PROMAX BLACK - Item No:77-98429
Item "77-98429" is indeed a iPhone 17 Pro Max case, black. Not what I had. I contacted support and said I got order confirmation for the wrong case.
A bit later they confirmed the mistake and said they would send out the right one (17 Pro / Blue).
I few days later I did get a new Defender Pro case, blue, for iPhone 17 Pro...
...and it had the same loose fit as my original case.
Also, no "power product" of any kind was included. It was just a case. The same type of case that didn't fit right. It might be an older revision, even. Its box has "iPhone 17 Pro" sticker on it (manufactured before they knew what the product would be called - some cases just say things like "iPhone Pro 2025" or whatever). My first order had "iPhone 17 Pro" printed as part of its packaging.
So now I have two OtterBox Defender Pro cases that don't fit right. I wouldn't trust either one to protect my phone.
(in the photo: my original/Amazon order is on the left, and the replacement from OtterBox is on the right)
WalMart will usually has these on sale for like $19.00 on Black Friday. Wonder if they will have that sale again this year?Oh, OtterBox...
