iPhone 17/Air/Pro/Pro Max Cases

Benks dropped the ball this year with the ArmorPro. Just tried another and this one also is not a great fit. Can see the orange showing through at the top and a slither down the sides, so that'll be returned.

Got the Enzo Aramid with black metal buttons and it's a great fit. Plus the lip is better, feels better in the hand and the buttons don't rattle like the Benks. (Minor issue that I'd usually sort with tape.)

Also have the Apple silicone in terra cotta which is good too and look forward to using it.

At the moment the Enzo is king until the Sheath & Tank arrive. Got 2x clear matte and 2x black textured matte plateau skins coming soon from Xtremeskinz to try for protection when using the open cases.

Do the sides have a rubber grippy texture or more like hard plastic?

Like a mix of rubber and silicone,a little bit slippery but premium feeling

Although I'm planning to buy the base model, one thing I like about the Pros (and the Air I guess) is that the camera block covers the entire width of the phone.

Looking at the photo above of the phone resting on its back with the Pitaka case, it won't wobble when used lying on a table, for example.

A matte TPU, grip is fine and always improves with use.

Ive always liked the silicone cases from Apple, but in store today I did like the new Pro Max Techwoven case.
So just placed my order for one (found it cheaper elsewhere)!

Any updated reports about the Otterbox Defender? Saw some comments about a few issues w/ the button areas, was waiting to get this as soon as it popped up at a better price. Or - any dupes people like?

I can confirm the side button for the camera is terrible. If you press anywhere near the button on the case it activates the camera. Will be returning if Best Buy will let me.

My Pro now lives in its Apple Clear Case because I haven’t figured out yet how to get it off without warping the case permanently 🫠 but in this combo, the phone feels like a smooth little pebble. Love it. 🥰
Also picked up a Purple Fog silicone case from the Apple Store just now, even though I’m not the biggest fan of silicone. But it’s so pretty! How these stores operate on release days is a mystery to me though 😂 - pure chaos. Used self checkout for the first time - very convenient. And very weird feeling just waltzing out the store with a case without speaking to anybody 😅

I have the apple clear case unopened as I didn’t realise it left the bottom of the phone exposed. Went with the ESR clear case and sienna and blue tech woven cases.

I went to Verizon this morning to grab a silver pro and then to Best Buy to find a case to hold me over and couldn’t believe DBrand was in Best Buy. Got it after seeing your posts of this combo!

Is the Best Buy one the same Ghost 2.0 they have on their website? Also if you lay the case on its back does the back clear plastic touch the surface such that it will scratch or is it elevated by the rubber side?

Mous case is rubbish. Droopy bottom and sides don’t fit correctly and you can be the bezel in places. Very poor for the price.

I received aluminum silver Arc Pulse for my sliver 17 pro 👌 I rocked the Arc Pulse for my 15 pro. It was my primary “case.”

My Benks also has some fitment and QC issues. The camera ring is pulling away from the case. I have the same gap at the speaker, though my ESR and Pitaka also have a slight gap, so I am wondering if there is a design so voices can be heard.

The Pitaka is TIGHT! Once on, it is tough to take off.

My ESR so far feels best. It’s the Cloud Soft, and it feels great in my hand, great camera control, nice lip. It also has the built in cover on the camera bump.

I pre-ordered the PR. I have debated on either the Tank or the Grip. The Tank looks awesome, but neither case has a lining, which makes me a bit leery, especially since the buttons on the Grip and not fully closed (slits), which would allow dirt to get in and scrape the Al and we are seeing how delicate the finish is.

My UPS driver tortured me and brought this right at the end of the day. Only had time for a couple of pics after throwing on the screen protector and case while simultaneously trying to cook dinner for my wife… lol. So far, it seems totally amazing. So light, so nice to hold, feels super premium. The Apple case is not bad at all, but when the Pitaka and Arc arrive (tomorrow, and who knows when, respectively), it will likely be relegated to the dustbin. The phone though, could end up being one of my favorites of all time (assuming I get along with the camera). Certainly, the first impression leads me to believe so.

The frost is actually on the inside. It’s glossy as usual on the outside. On the white the fingerprints hardly show—if it was on black I bet it would be gnarly.

I actually quite like it, I used to only use leather cases on my iPhones, so it is a different feel, but grippy enough for me to (for now) call it a keeper. bare iPhones are way too slippery for me
