If the rumours pan out next year will be the year that iphone gets out of the dreaded S cycle.

I still prefer to chose the Pro over the air for the features. Eitherway if the pro gets the re design claimed count me.

If the new iPhone Air is priced similar to the Plus variant, it might be having many takers. As for the foldable iPad, easily expecting it to be atleast $1999. Looking forward to seeing Apple's foldable devices.

I really wish iPhones would stop having those "volcano" camera bumps. Remember when people used to laugh at Androids for their "volcano" cameras? Now Apple’s "volcano" is taller than anyone else's. Oh, and it can’t even lie flat on a table—that’s a free feature!

Can we pls get 50 watt magsafe for the paltry battery inside and ultra thin 3 millimeter thick 50 watt magsafe battery packs to slap on their to go from 0 to 50% in 20 minutes please

My 14 Pro has enough battery life for my liking and it’s a 3200 mah battery. Unless I’m gaming I’m never in a position that I’m wishing for more battery life and I have 4+ hours of screen on time a day. I would love a substantially lighter device however even if the screen footprint is slightly bigger and a thinner device with less equipment would definitely be lighter.
Luckily, there is one.. they call it iphone 16 (plus)

Taking the notch out would be a major design change, not a minor change to the camera's placement that no one would notice or even care about.

Make an iPhone air mini, if they can still sell the iPad mini then why not for phones? the plus model is also a flop, at least release a Mini phone once in 3 years.

Apple is planning a series of "major design" and "format changes" for iPhones over the next few years, according to The Wall Street Journal's Aaron Tilley and Yang Jie.

The paywalled report published today corroborated the widely-rumored "iPhone 17 Air" with an "ultrathin" design that is thinner than current iPhone models. The report did not mention a specific measurement, but previous rumors have indicated the device could be anywhere from 5mm to 6.25mm thin, whereas the iPhone 16 lineup starts at 7.8mm. The thinnest-ever model was the iPhone 6 at 6.9mm, so the iPhone 17 Air would beat that record.

In line with previous rumors, the report said the iPhone 17 Air will be "giving up" some features available in the Pro models. For example, the report said the device will have a "simplified" camera system, but no other details were provided. Accordingly, the report said the device will be priced lower than the Pro lineup, which in the U.S. starts at $999.

Apple is expected to unveil the iPhone 17 Air in September 2025.

Apple is also planning two foldable devices for release later, according to the report. It said one of the devices will essentially be the largest-ever MacBook with a foldable 19-inch screen, while the other is a foldable iPhone that would unfold to have an inwards-facing display that is larger than the one on the 6.9-inch iPhone 16 Pro Max.

The report said Apple is aiming to release the foldable iPhone in 2026 or 2027, while the MacBook with a foldable screen would likely debut later. Both of the devices have been rumored to be in development several times in recent years.

Apple is said to have faced major challenges with developing a foldable iPhone, including with the device's hinge and the protective layer that covers the screen. Apple apparently once considered a foldable iPhone with an outward-facing display, but it has settled on a large inner display, according to the report.

At first I thought a 19-inch MacBook seemed ridiculous. Who wants to carry that around?

But if you think about Apple recently adopting Ultra-Wide settings for Apple TV it starts to make more sense.

Disappointed that the Air will have downgraded features. They should focus on making the flagship phones as thin and light as possible with new battery tech and more efficient processors.. I predict an expensive, gimped Air will sell below their expectations, just like the “Plus” models.
I assume that they do make the flagships as thin and light as they can. Alternatively, do you think intentionally add bulk? But bigger batteries and more sophisticated camera systems require more space. There has to be a trade-off.

And thinnest less 2mm is what Tim Cook and friends can come up with. No wander Tim's salary keeps decreasing each year

19 inch MacBook? but no 27 inch iMac?

Do you really want a fold out display on a desktop?

Gonna move my glass of water out of the way now and unfold my screen! So glad I can fold-up my screen for when I use my desk as the dinner table!

Well, it’s about time! Lol. All these brilliant people at Apple and this is the only functional design they can come up with? Jeez. Come on, Apple. Their whole marketing with the iPhone 16 series is AI and all its features aren’t available yet. Lol.

If you look closely, the camera module gets slightly bigger every year... what more innovation do you want? 🤣

Apparently that’s the best they can come up with. I guess we will never move forward with design innovation. That’s it everyone. We’re stuck with the stove tops for another century. Lol.

IMO, the biggest problem with the Touch Bar was no haptic feedback. If a foldable MacBook is using an on-screen keyboard then a very hard NO for me.

Who cares if the design is the same? You can only make a rectangle so many different ways.

From what I've read previously, this iPhone Air will be about the same size as the current Plus. It would be nice to get confirmation on this. I just upgraded downgraded from the 12 Mini to the 16. This phone is already unreasonably large, in all dimensions, for my needs.

An AirPhone the same size as the current SE would be the most perfect phone Apple has ever made.

I care. I’d never want someone like you apart of my team. No vision, whatsoever. We’d still be riding on horses and in carriages…because you know, it worked and it got people from point A to B.

Think beyond that rectangle…
