iPhone 17/e/Air/Pro/Pro Max Cases

Torras Q3 air vs q3 spin:
It’s shocking how much good press the air gets and you never hear anything regarding the spin. I personally think the spin is way better. It has a slightly stronger magnet, and it feels much better in the hand. No pointy bottom like the air has that digs into your pinky. The air bubbles do they even do anything?
And it’s half the price of the air.
If the spin had a black plateau cover, I’d cancel my caudabe order right now.

Got a chance to install the replacement batch that supposedly has better hole alignments, and it’s much better. The lens cutouts are still not 100% centered but much better than the old batch. The bottom speakers are perfectly aligned whereas previously, the speakers were a bit higher up.

I just said F it, might as well just try the full body skin since I paid for it, and if the top peels off, then I’ll just toss it. To my surprise, none of the sides peeled off.

@Sal09 Not sure if you waited a full 24 hrs for the adhesive to cure, but thats what I did. Also, what I did was put the top in first, then pulled the bottom of one of the corners, push the phone in, then pulled the opposite corner and side while simultaneously pushing the corner of the screen down. You can barely tell on the back.

Also, no exposed aluminum on the front. Looks exactly the same as before the skin was installed:

Not sure if the cure time or technique worked, but I’m overall very happy with how it went. Definitely takes a LOT of patience to align the skin before squeegeeing out the water and carefully heating up the edges, while pushing down with your fingers, making sure not to stretch it. 🥵

Just a note for those interested in the full body skins, the sides are not 100% covered due to the curvature of the frame:

I went to the Quad Lock case for iPhone 17 Pro Max. It’s more convenient for my needs.

I have an indoor trainer bike (wahoo kickr bike) with quad lock mount so this is perfect.

I also got the desk charging stand - it can charge two phones at once.

my black 14 pro sheath was a mess along with crap buttons but this grey sheath is perfect no dirt buildup and perfect everywhere else except for slight misalignment which caudabe said they are sending over a replacement for hopefully its fixed

What’s the replacement procedure - do I need to send them back the old case? Mine is also misaligned and the bottom corners are still funky…

I sent them a video of the case where it’s visible it bends backwards + the weird squeaking/clicking sounds and the stain/discoloration on the back. They said I can return it at my own cost (I think in US only you can return it for free) and the second option is to scratch the back/cut the case in half and send them a picture. I went with 2nd one since I’m not in the US and got the money back the next day.

The air case is legit rubbish its so slippery as well and those air bumpers all around the case makes it so unwieldy

Not to mention the weird writings on the case i got rid of mine within a day

Since I’m adding an Air back into my rotation.

Has anyone come across an orange adamid for the Air? If not, silicone?

I have the Pitaka on my pro. Was looking for something like this one (that I also have) this came from Aliexpress for my Air

Picked up a Quadlock case for my 17PM while they had some sales. It weighs 55g and it’s definitely on the bulky side. Overall fit is very good. Buttons are clicky but not great, camera control works really well. The texture is subtle but grippy even when wet. In the end, it’s about what I’d expect from Quadlock: it’ll snap in place on my bike when I ride, which is why I bought it.

Mine had the off center lens and speaker cutouts. I just emailed them and they shipped me the new batch, when it was available, that included an installation guide, thats how I knew it was a new batch. But they never asked me to send the old one back or destroy it before they shipped the new one out, so I essentially got a free case.
