After four tries, I finally have a clean copy of the Gen 7 for the Air. With its flush screen lip, it manages to feel thin while still providing very good protection. I’d rate it as equal to the Mous, with each having their own pluses and minuses. I’m glad I persisted and played the case lottery on this one.

With the problems I had with this case, along with my ongoing issues with Caudabe (defects on 4 of the last 5 cases I’ve ordered), Pitaka (3 returns this year), Arc Pulse (bad fit on multiple copies), Suti (sloppy fit, rattles), Otterbox (too many issues to list), TineeOwl v.1 (poor fit), and so on, I feel like QC has slipped all across the industry. Only Mous, Aulumu, Spigen, and the Apple/Beats cases were 100% defect-free. I’m wondering if perhaps this is more of an issue with the Air because I’m not seeing nearly as many of these types of complaints with the Pro cases.

Loving the tank at the moment, daily driving it and really like the way it looks and feels.

However the alignments are pretty bad on the camera and even charging port, got a replacement incoming from dbrand so shall see if the new one is any better. Otherwise its a great case

Is the Moft case thicker than the PhoneRebel?
The Moft’s side walls are thinner, it’s narrower left to right and top to bottom, but it’s deeper from front to back due to the raised screen lip. It’s also ~10 grams lighter, but pretty obviously less protective than the PR.

To me, the Moft is in a different category than the Gen 7. It’s more like the Apple cases; lighter, overall slimmer, but not as protective.

I’ve been really enjoying this 18th case I got this week. 😂 Rhinoshield SolidX in white. Not for the minimalists - she’s a chunky one. Also not for people with OCD because the alignments are just slightly off. But I really like the haptics. 100% TPE, so less rubbery feeling than TPU. Not the grippiest, but also not slippery. It has a slight texture all around. The buttons are nice and clicky (and swappable). Camera button works flawlessly and sits in a little groove, as does the action button. Love this detail. It has slight curves to it. On the front, the case is raised slightly on the top and the bottom of the screen. Comes in a variety of colors, also for the Air. I went with white because I've been looking for white cases to pair with the silver Pro. So far, no color transfer to the case. 👍
It's a tight fight, but I don't have to wrestle the case to get it off.

Have you tried Paragon? If not, you should 😉

It’s been in my cart for a while and Caudabe keeps reminding me about it 🙄😂 But the price with taxes and shipping to Europe is deterring me right now. Also the fact that it’s polycarbonate. I have a 30% off coupon though, so maybe I‘ll cave one day. If they bring out the ultraviolet version for iPhone, I would be in immediately.

If you’re not looking for a keyboard case, Zugu makes the best iPad cases by far.

Yes they look really nice, i want to try one. They have one on Amazon but not the upgraded version which you can move the iPad around and MagSafe your phone next to it, pretty cool functionality. I’d have to order from their website for the upgraded version and it’s like $130. I like Amazon for the ease of returns. So I might try the original Zugu. Thanks!

Yeah, the new model is pretty pricey. I’ve been happy with the original model.

Last case I’m debating on trying, would be more convincing if they had an open version and some kind of liner on the inside.

Had both the grip and the ghost and didn’t care much for either.

I was going caseless and dropped my phone 2 weeks ago and have a little nick on the bottom of my phone now. Since then, I purchased 2 cases, which I still can’t bring myself to use, so I’m using the silver bumper, I purchased back in September. It doesn’t interfere with my signal strength at all and keeps my phone thin.

Which silver bumper??
