i hated the grip i much prefer this tankLast case I’m debating on trying, would be more convincing if they had an open version and some kind of liner on the inside.
Had both the grip and the ghost and didn’t care much for either.
Is it heavy?
Which silver bumper??
Impressive collection. If I want something lightweight and not super bulky that offers some solid grip, but less grip/texture then say the Sheath what’s a good choice? Here’s the current haul (I’m counting 17). I was supposed to limit myself to 4-5 this year—I guess that didn’t work out. 😅
What do you have in your collection? Post a pic if it’s not too much trouble. 😊

Question about the Edge. Does it have decent grip or is it kinda slippery?Dropped the Air+Pitaka Edge two feet onto a hardwood floor today (slipped off an ottoman). Broke the UltraGlass 9H screen protector. The phone is fine. It was a good reminder that the Pitaka provides virtually zero drop protection and is functionally not much more than a skin.

There is some inherent grip around the sides because of the cutouts. Some find the cutouts uncomfortable, but they don’t bother me. The grip of the aramid fiber back depends upon which specific case you’re talking about. The 1500D patterned cases like the Moonrise and Sunset have a nice amount of grip on the back due to the more textured surface. On the other hand, the 600D black/gray version has less texture so consequently it has less grip. The 600D is also much more prone to showing fingerprints.Question about the Edge. Does it have decent grip or is it kinda slippery?
Received my Ridge Carbon today. After prying the paragon off with a crowbar, in the Ridge carbon today.
Could do without the branding on the back but thankfully that’s the only one. Don’t think I would fork over $75 for it but for $23 BB open box it’s easily a good case.
Did you receive yours? Wondering if yours fits properly.I tried this case early on after I got the 17 Pro and loved it, but couldn't justify $75 for it so I returned it to BB. But your mention of the open box price made me go check and sure enough, they had an open box excellent for $25. I can't resist 2/3rds off, so it'll be here on Monday.![]()
Do you know of any cases that are like the TineeOwl texture wise but slimmer and lighter? Not named Sheath btw as that’s too grippy for me. I’m still searching. The TO being kinda rounded and curved does feel amazing in hand though.I never said anything in terms of quality. I did make sure to say “imo”. I know everyone’s opinion is different. For me a heavier, bulkier case simply feels like a downgrade as it’s not my cup of tea that’s all, just preferences.
Looking forward to your comparison of Sheath vs TO v.2 😉
Anybody know the weight difference between the 2?I think I'll be buying a TineeOwl case too when it's my turn to upgrade. It's like an improved Sheath, and the aluminum buttons sold me.
Grip wise would you say that Pitaka is as grippy as the TineeOwl? I know it’s a different kind of grip with the TPU and then Fiber but is the texture about the same? For $25 bucks, this is what the Sheath is really worth. I'll die on that hill.

For the Pro Max:Anybody know the weight difference between the 2?
The Ringke Onyx is a slimmer lighter case with that kind of texture but they have yet to come out with a CC button for it. It’s a shame because it is such a great case and at a good budget price like TO.Do you know of any cases that are like the TineeOwl texture wise but slimmer and lighter? Darn it so I’m probably sol. Sorry for a bunch of the bumps and replies to old posts in this thread yall but I’ve yet to find something that I’m happy with lolThe Ringke Onyx is a slimmer lighter case with that kind of texture but they have yet to come out with a CC button for it. I agree the TO’s curved edges do feel nice in hand. I tried it and was pretty impressed with that but after a while of handling I felt the weight and heft of the case. The fit and finish of it was really good too. I returned it as it’s just not for me but it is a nice nonetheless.
The brown is beautiful. 🤩I don’t disagree, but…

Gurman: iPhone 18 Pro Could Be Underwhelming
Apple's upcoming iPhone 18 Pro and iPhone 18 Pro Max models "won't be a big update," according to Bloomberg's Mark Gurman. In the latest edition of his "Power On" newsletter, Gurman said that the iPhone 18 Pro models will "represent minor tweaks from last year's iPhone 17 Pro and 17 Pro Max". He...www.macrumors.com
Rumors are they still won’t be offering black. These are the rumored new colors. If true… sheesh.

The Mous Limitless has about the same level of grip, though it’s a different texture. It’s lighter than both the Sheath and TineeOwl, with better drop protection. It’s more squared off on the back, which some people don’t like (it doesn’t bother me). It’s a very well made case, higher quality than both the Sheath and TineeOwl in my opinion.Do you know of any cases that are like the TineeOwl texture wise but slimmer and lighter? That logo 😱
Wish that Moft was more grippy. It’s so slippery to me

Received my Ridge Carbon today.
I love the case, it is so lightweight (35g) and very slim! The aluminum buttons are very clicky, they do rattle very easily when slightly shaking your phone but that’s not a deal breaker for me.
Here’s my deal breaker though, the fit around the screen shows the silver frame of my phone almost all along the top portion and warps around every area by the buttons. Very poor fit around the screen.
Is yours like that? I’m wondering if I have a bad copy. I’m thinking of ordering another to see as I actually really do like the case but would love to hear your feedback.
I keep trying with these full coverage aramid fiber cases and seem to just keep getting poor fitment around the screen.
Did a quick google and it looks pretty clean. Can I see some pics of it? Those website photos usually don’t do cases justice lolReceived the Spigen Urbanfit today. Awesome case. Love it. Makes my top 3!
