Nudient bold case in teal. Feels good in the hand and similar to apple silicone with ridge details.

Curiosity got the best of me and I had to try the Mous limitless this year. Too many people saying they had fixed previous years issues.

Last one I had was the 5.0 (?) for the 15 pro series and liked the case aside from button issues. Skipped the 16 generation when they whiffed on the camera control.

Marine and sage were most tempting but went marine which is a nice blue. Zero button issues, fit is good, cc is solid, MagSafe is the weak point but I think that is well known. Worth $75? Probably not, but it’s a good case this year.

Personal Top 3 in no particular order this year-
Tineeowl v2
Caudabe synthesis
Mous limitless (7.0? Did they drop the #s?)

I don’t remember for which model is this apple leather case: 12PM or 14PM 😡
They were shocking here in the heat and humidity, sticky mess v real leather cases 😉
Also hard to get one with straight sides and corners popped off easily.
From my memory anyway.

So my Caudabe Paragon came in had it on for 10min and instantly was ready to return it. Hated it. Those protruding raised corners make the case feel bulky to me. The back is too slippery and even the sides didn’t have a good enough grip for me. On the other hand the Sheath is too grippy. If there was a middle ground it’d be perfect.

I’m going to purchase the TineeOwl Dune back in Almost Black. I had Sandstone but after seeing reviews of it getting mucked up I returned it. I know it’s probably heavier than the Paragon but to me it really doesn’t feel that way. The rounded edges feel sooo damn good and the grip is literally perfect IMO. The texture is like between a Sheath and the edges of the Paragon. I’ll keep my eyes peeled on this thread but cheap $30 and all I’m fine with it being my daily.

Anyone else kind of hold back on buying more cases as soon as March hits? I’ve not decided if I’ll upgrade to the 18 or not but if I do I don’t want to shell out £100 on cases now (even though I want a synthesis and tech woven) given we’re only 6 months out from the 18.

Or am I being ridiculous?

For me, it’s not so much about timing, but about running out of interesting cases to try out. In other words, by now, I’ve pretty much tried every case I’m interested in. I do have one last case on order, but it’s just a color variation of a case I already have. It (truly) is most likely the last I’ll purchase this year.

I won't buy the 18 PM this year. The display lottery at my 17 PM was too much for me, that really broke me. No joke. 😂

Nevertheless, I understand you well - I have way too many cases, of which I only use a small part. The problem is: there are cases that I really like - but I haven't found my ultimate favorite yet. There is something about every case so far that I don't like… 😬

I wanted to get the Mous Limitless case and the exact same one you have, the Marine one but what put me off is many people on Reddit saying the case does not age well. Apparently, the fabric like material on the back of the case changes colour over time and I am guessing it becomes dirty due to oil from our hands and the case coming into contact with different surfaces.

It’s an interesting case, and I wonder what made them start using a dense fabric instead of a polycarbonate. It is baked into the frame so maybe just a part of the manufacturing process they have with the other backs that are interchangeable (black frame with leather, aramid, bamboo etc).

I had the green on the 15 and it didn’t have any unusual signs of wear or dirt but I can’t say it was my daily case for more than a few weeks. I eventually ditched it due to button sensitivity/rattle and sharp edges around the fabric inlay. The otterbox symmetry was the goat for 15 (imo).

This iteration is clearly better all the way around. My only issue is a tiny bit of silver frame shows as the top but I can’t be sure if this is the fault 3D Flolab glass, which causes problems with some cases.

If the open paragon came in a marine or sage color (with a little more texture on the back) it would just be game over winner, but I just didn’t like the regular black or moonstone.

It’s an interesting color, like a darker teal.

Thanks for the pics.

I was going to ask if the Mous case has sharp egdes? That's anther complaint I frequently read on Reddit. I know it's hard to find the 'perfect case' and most cases with have slight issues that you will have to overlook, however the Mous case is very expensive and one of the most expensive cases on the market. I do believe the case should be near perfect considering the price.

Is the case your daily driver? I am thinking if I should take the plunge and buy it...

Tbh I keep going back to the Apple silicone. Tried the paragon, too bulky, sheath didn’t do it for me either. Ghost 2.0 is great but I can’t deal with the fingerprints.

I want to try the tineeowl, synthesis and ideally the pitaka sums in blue but I’m just reluctant to spend more cash if I’ll be upgrading in 6 months as these cases aren’t cheap.

I might order a load of cheap ones on Amazon just to scratch the case obsession itch 😂😂

Yes, the Paragon is a little bit too bulky, the moft is too slippery, the edges of the TW don't wrap far enough around the screen… 😂

At the moment, I’m back to using an Apple silicon case (Guave). But it's a bit of a dust magnet. 😅
