Caudabe shipping 2.5 buttons that are too small for the Sheath cases. They are shipping like 2.3 buttons in boxes that are labeled 2.5 😡 These buttons are hard to get into case, lay flush with the sides of the case and are pretty much unusable. I've contacted them and they keep shipping me the same wrong buttons over and over again.

Clearly all their current Sheath buttons are mispackaged 😡

Here is a pic of what I'm talking about:

The replacement buttons I got with my sheath are fine? Guess I’m lucky, then. Or it only applies to certain colors (I got silver and blush buttons).

I suspect this will be the new normal. To go along with delayed Prime deliveries.

I just ordered some cables from AnkerDirect, which uses FBA as their logistics provider.

Won't be surprised if A) they aren't delivered on time, and B) they are returned items, like the previous order.

feels nice but the smell was quite intense and unpleasant (for me) when I first got it. It has since aired out, but I can still smell it. (the nomad traditional and Ryan London I had here for a bit back in the fall were the same)
I’ll keep it because it’s pretty and I wanted a protective leather case.

That's one of the best parts of fine leather goods! 😉

I have read many people complain the Mous Limitless isn't worth the price and also the case has warping issues overtime.
He is using the Marine Blue and I have read many people saying that material on the back of the case doesn't age well and it stains overtime.
Well the people complaining are always the loudest. I personally have not had issues with my Mous cases. My 2,5 year old speckled fabric case on my husbands 15PM is still going strong (he’s not being careful with it).
But I guess using it daily for a year and putting it through the wringer will wear a lot of cases out. I swap a lot so my cases last longer of course.

Oh I understand
When it comes to cases, it's all opinions.
It's just I have read a lot of negative reviews about the Mous Marine Limitless.

Mous is huge, far larger than most of the brands discussed here, so the pool of complainers is also larger. I’ve been using their cases since day one and have never had any of the issues you described.

The price/value equation, of course, is subjective…

You could try one with a different back, like leather or aramid fiber, if you are unsure about the durability of the fabric backs?
Oh, I am not going to buy the case. I was going to, but the reviews have put me off, especially considering how expensive the case it.
I wanted a case with a soft back so the ones that have fabric backs are the only ones I would go for. My friend has the Aramid Fibre, and I didn't like how hard it felt in the hand.

Sheath open gray in the hooch today. Of course, I had to steal the ember 2.5 buttons from my precise black as Caudabe is shipping a bunch of mispackaged buttons for the Sheath as of late. I do love me an open Sheath though.

How is the Magsafe indent on the Sheath this time around? Did they finally manage to fix it or does it still show up after a while? Been thinking of getting an open Gray one just like yours.

You would not be happy with the fabric backs then, either. Because the fabric is coated and thus not really soft, more like... smooth.

Ok there is 4729 reviews from Amazon for the 17 pro max Mous. Not all people leave reviews, in fact a small % do. So let’s say 14k were sold on Amazon. Then a bunch is a small %.
Yeah on amazon.de there are 80 reviews for the marine blue Mous, with 2x1 Star and 7x2 Star ratings. The complaints are mostly "color doesn't match the blue iPhone", some complaints about the weak magsafe, one has scratches on the phone because they didn't clean the dust from under the case, one person has a shattered Torras screen protector (that, upon closer inspection of the provided photo, seems to have touched the case in the corner and thus bore the force of the fall) and one has a loose CC button.

There are bound to be QC issues with this volume of cases. We had them on almost all case manufactures reviewed here.

I had two gray ones that had other defects including the indent which were returned. I hated the clunky feel of the Sheath anyway, but the issue still persists.
