I was using my open cutout Sheeth for a while. I was travelling in the Philippines for the whole April and thought I use the Synthesis because it is more protective specially with the bigger screen lip. Even through travelling I thought why not order the Abyss Blue version.

I used the Abyss blue but it felt boring and I tried the Sheath again but it felt not satisfying. So I took out my black open Paragon and added the Abyss Blue Buttons and I think I found my setup for now. It feels great in the hand. I almost forgot about it

Currently taking a break from the excellent Tank to try out the Nomad Rugged with black Horween Leather (thank you to Hooterville and Zenso for reminding me this case exists 😂🫠).

It’s a really nice and premium feeling case. The frame is the same kinda slippery TPU as on the Beats Rugged and Bellroy Venture. But in this case it shows smudges and fingerprints galore. I’m constantly wiping it off... It’s nice to hold, though. There are enough grooves here to hold on to it without it slipping. The buttons are perfect and the frame in the front is raised on all sides except the bottom, where it sits low enough to easily swipe upwards, which is something I just realised today.
The leather feels nice but the smell was quite intense and unpleasant (for me) when I first got it. It has since aired out, but I can still smell it. (the nomad traditional and Ryan London I had here for a bit back in the fall were the same)
I’ll keep it because it’s pretty and I wanted a protective leather case.

That being said, I wish the Tank were easier to get off the phone. As it is, it’s a whole workout and I’m always worried for my phone (and the case). But I love it a lot and will probably return to it again soon.

People really seem to like the tank. It’s definitely an interesting looking case
