Yeah this could be the year iPhone sales tank in Australia with everything else that is going on.
I got 2 x brand new 17 pro max 256gb for $2500 off FBM 3 months ago, will do us for awhile.

Meaning they bought them off Facebook Marketplace.
But look up the prices Australians pay for something like am iPhone. It's way, way higher than what we pay in the US for the same phone.

Is the "AIR" logo printed on the weave? It looks like it is, but the patterns look like part of the weave. I've never seen them in person.

This sounds like a cost savings tactic due to the new projected prices. You’ll miss the Max. Maybe do 512GB vs 1TB. Not sure how you’re needing so much capacity.

It’s printed like all their “Pitaka” logos. Just seeing an “AIR” logo is totally unnecessary imo.

I moved from the 15PM to the 17 Pro and I’ve never been happier with a sizedown. Less stress on my hands, less weight to lug around. So much more comfortable all around. And I don’t even have small hands. I’m not going back. The current pro is so big, it’s almost a PM at this point. Another plus: cases for the pro look much better imho, because the proportions fit better.

Most likely, yes. As @JBlass421 said, maybe give up your usual 2TB of storage and stay with the larger phone.

I would definitely miss the PM. I almost downsized with the 17 P when upgrading but decided at last minute to get the PM and couldn’t be happier

I tried my girlfriend's 17 Pro, and while the phone is lovely, the screen size kills my eyes. It's just too cramped for me.

I have zero regrets Pro Max > Pro. So much easier for me to use with fat cheeseburger fingers. With a pop socket it works well for me. Not everyone’s cup of tea; but not sure I can go back to Pro Max. That’s why I want to try an Air; it’s between Pro and Pro Max size lol… I was slightly concerned about battery going Max to regular Pro but let’s me honest… it’s 2026 we have chargers everywhere we turn or battery backs. Haven’t had battery regret.

I’m a power user. Use my phone like a computer. On a 17 hour day my screen active time is usually 45% -50% average so about 7.5 -8.5 hours screen active.
With that being said I always have to top off my iPhone 2x a day which I don’t mind. If I had a Max probably 1x. Like you said I’m always near power have Anker battery pack, cig charger, cables, 30W Anker brick.
Pocket-ability is most important to me. All my pants and work pants have a dedicated cell phone pocket.
