Considering series 18 will follow the same design language as the current one and you're upgrading in two months: which cases are you going to buy again for your next iPhone?

I'm not upgrading until next year September, but the cases I will most likely buy again are: Casetify Impact, Caudabe Paragon, Beats Rugged, dbrand Tank. And maybe another Mous Limitless.

(I should add: I have tried over 35 cases for the 17 Pro in the past 10 months 😬)

I always start off by saying "one case only!", the official Apple one. But.....end up with a few. Probably a Caudabe one and a good quality leather one, either Nomad or Ryan London. There, 3 cases only!

Me every single year. My limit this year was supposed to be just two (a TechWoven and a leather case). I ended up with like 2 Caudabes and like 5 leather cases. Whoops.

I had over 20 cases for the Air before I handed it over to my wife, and I currently have 8 for the Pro Max (this doesn’t include returns). Of those, the Pitaka Edge, Apple TechWoven, Beats Rugged, and dBrand Tank have gotten the most use. So if I was rational, I would say those 4 would be my only purchases, but of course there’s nothing rational about what we’re doing here. My guess is that I’ll keep doing what I’ve done for a long time: buy a ridiculous amount of cases, return at least 50% of them for defects or something lacking in the design, after which I’ll still end up with a ridiculous amount of keepers.

You are upgrading to the 18?

If I upgrade to the iPhone 18 PM, or rather if I end up keeping the device (I will definitely buy it), then it is definitely going into an Apple silicone case. After all the cases I bought for the 17 PM, the silicone cases are the only ones I still use, the others are just sitting in the closet unused. 😅 So it will definitely be an Apple silicone case again for the 18 PM.

Same with me! I always end up back in it so no point in wasting money on others. Which color do you rock the most?

A $22 Bullstrap case that ended up costing me around $70 due to awfully expensive and long shipping (3 weeks) to Europe and insane customs fee of $35 (!!!) 🫨

Nonetheless, case is really good with nice and juicy leather right out of the box 🤤

Never buying Bullstrap again unless they open a warehouse here in the EU 😤

I shall add, this is probably the deepest black color I ever saw on a phone case, difficult to show it on a photo, though. Really nice 🖤

I've had mine (same color as yours) for my 17 Pro for a while now. I find the fit perfect; buttons & camera control work flawlessly for me. I love the smell of leather too.... The only issue I have with this case is I find it sooo slippery.

Now, tbf, in all likelihood, grip would improve as patina builds with use and the leather further softens. I'm just not super keen on using it for long enough stretches for the break-in to happen. It's just *that* slippery for me. YMMV, but for my out-of-pocket cost of $22, still worth the shot.

My next case will likely be a leather Mous Limitless.

Customs charge puts me off. I'm in the UK, so not EU so I wonder what charges I'd get?

Yup shipping and other charges are awful when getting stuff from Americas. I was going to order this earlier today and stopped as soon as shipping charges got calculated.

You could apply a light (very light) coat of leather conditioner. I like Obenauf’s.
