Thanks everyone. This was my suspicion. May take a trip over to the Apple Store. Typically I would just forgo a protector but I now have a 3 year old. LOL
Do the edges feel sharper on the new Lite?Sorry just saw those questions. You’ll find Origarmor and Origarmor Lite on Amazon. Lite is the new version. It has better scratch protection and it seems to have better anti-fingerprint coating too.
But it’s 2.5D not 3D edging. Otherwise it’s really good.
Just an update I installed the Namaso which Bryan? Recommended. It’s quite good. No hard edges when used without case and it shows all the camera L shapes on either side of the screen. However there’s another test which is slightly failed. With that test it covers slightly the 4 corners of the iPhone pixel wise. Definitely a good screen protector. Oh I did notice one micro scratch immediately after application so faint wasn’t worth sending it back over.
Yeah it’s definitely a decent screen protector fully edge to edge with nice flush edges.I just wanted to follow up from my previous post of the edges peeling off my screen protector. I gave this one a shot and it’s amazing. I think there’s just some sort of flaw with that Torras screen protector.
2.5D you can see and especially feel the edges of the screen protector as they are not curved and don’t go edge-to-edge.Can someone explain the 2.5 and 3D edging styles?
It’s been a good reasonably priced screen protector so far for me.
Found this:
I'm currently using UltraGlass, I like it but since I use the oficial clear case, the screen border is very noticeable just like its said on the video. I just ordered the Roxx, since its 3D, its probably better.
Where is 'lite' version? I can't seem to find it.I switched from the original Torras OrigArmor to the “Lite” version a week ago for my 17 Pro. My original one had tons of micro scratches that I noticed within days of using it even though I pretty careful with my phones. Nothing to really affected the normal use but was a bit annoying to have on a relatively expensive screen protector. Generally happy with that product though.
I thought I’d try out the Lite version and it has no visible micro scratches after a week but the edges are definitely a lot worse than the original, especially when swiping up from the bottom to go home or unlock the phone. AR and oleophobic coating seems to be equal, as far as I can tell.
Disappointed on the edges but I’ll hand on to this for the meantime.
Where is 'lite' version? I can't seem to find it.
I replaced my five month origarmour with a new one around ten days ago and so far, no scratches. Maybe they've improved them?
No, I dont have my box anymore.Anyone obtain the Torras OrigArmor non-Lite version lately and still have the box that you can check something?
Based on what iFone88 said above, I’m curious if updates were made to the non-Lite version so I ordered one from Amazon. I still have my old box from Sept and it has a different identifier on it than the new one but not sure if it points to any differences in the actual product.
@iFone88 do you still have your box?
As you can see in my picture, the code next to “iPhone 17 Pro” is different. My guess is that the code below the barcode being the same means it’s the exact same product but I’m curious if others still have their boxes to check, along with sharing when and where it was purchased. Thanks
