I've had a lot of black cases and I've grown to dislike them. For one, every one has them. Your phone looks like everyone else's phone at a quick glance. They are also hard to see in a dark room or on a dark couch, etc. I prefer a bright case that stands out and is easy to see.

I'm ordering the silver, probably more of a white by the looks of it. Maybe the orange will be nicer than it appears to be. That was the case with the desert sand color from last year...much nicer in person.

I normally hate when people say things like this, but Steve was very clear about his opinion on such things: if your product is cannibalized by one of your other products, it's a good thing. If you're artificially setting up the conditions for such instead of making all of your products the best they can be, that's not so good. If that was their goal, then I can confidently state Jobs would not have approved.
I even thought about getting the New iPhone Air to try out Apple’s New C1X Modem, which Apple claims is 2X faster than their C1 modem and 30% more efficient. Apple 🍎 has invested a lot of money in the iPhone Air project and would prefer people buy it this Year. The iPhone Air Design looks to be Apple’s future design their wanting for the iPhone 📱

I only wish Apple released an orange sooner, since I’m still in love with my teal iPhone. The sage 17 looks nice too. I love how many users here complained about the lack of color for Pro models, we get some saturation, and it’s still no good. Incidentally, all three Pro colors match Denver Broncos!

I really wish that show didn’t exist 🤦🏻‍♂️

No, orange is not the new black.

Apple design team are just morons and figured they’d give their customers an annoyance that they’ll “correct” next year (for more $$$ via upgrade) 🙄

Ridiculous that both the Air and base 17 have a professional color option while the pros don’t 👎🏻

Not everyone uses a case, and not everyone wants to stare at some flashy / ugly phone color the next 1-4 years until they upgrade.
Orange is awesome and unique : the flagship color. They needed that to stand out and attract attention. But I know it’s definitely not for everyone.
They should’ve had black instead of dark blue.

They should’ve just went with the Classic Signature iPod White. I Miss the Signature Apple 🍎 iPod. Classic!

Neither the dark blue nor the silver seem “flashy” nor unprofessional to me.

It’s definitely not their goal. Apple would love for you to buy the most expensive product you can.

There are some rumors that they had manufacturing difficulties with the black pros. This is a more believable story than them wanting people to buy Airs.

You are free to take your bright orange cellphone into the boardroom if you consider it to be a prof
Are boardrooms like school yards or something? Grown people actually care what colour cellphone people have? It’s like the episode of the Simpsons from decades ago when Homer is put in a mental institution because he wore a pink shirt to work! 😂

I really wanted a black iPhone 17 Pro Max as my last two iPhones (15 & 16) were black. I decided to pre-order the Cosmic Orange color and pair it with the green TechWoven case from Apple. It’s going to look like the Master Chief from Halo. I’m excited!

1. The dark blue is certainly professional.
2. Don't be that person on their phone in meetings. Your phone shouldn't be out in professional situations like that.

I kind of like the orange, but I hate that everybody will tell I got the new iPhone even from far away ;)
Safest color is silver, which also hides scratches the best! One more night to make up my mind.
This is my thinking. The camera bump is aluminium now and will get scratched; silver is the only colour where that won’t show.

Silver with a blue case looks understated in a good way to me, and matches my clothes as a middle age professional.

I used to love ppl asking about my new phone on launch day/week, now I have better things to do and bigger fish to fry. And geeks who care will know I have the pro bc of the camera bump (not that I care).
