If the thing ends up looking like this and with a similar feature set then we can’t call them rumours anymore can we?

I prefer for something to look ugly to others that will promise me luxury than something that looks pretty and gives me headaches like the rumored 17 Air with a nano sized battery and less camera and other functions eliminated.

Same goes when humans are involved with relationships. The so called ugly looking person turns out to be the most kind and loyal/supportive you ever met in your experience.

The thicker battery is confusing to me. Battery life is already very good and usually gets better with processor upgrades. Why add more battery?

Edit: Downvote all you like. Did you see where I said it was confusing to me? Did you see that I’m asking a question? Your downvote doesn’t answer my question. Maybe explain why you disagree.

For the first time since the 12 pro max, i can safely say I’am now ready to move one.

Also if the rumour mill is right, 2030’s iphone is a must buy, anything before than are compulsive buys.

I kind of understand the reasoning repositioning the logo to match up with the glass section, but it still looks weird with the back overall. If they are doing that, maybe there is more merit to the left-aligned front camera hole punch. I still hope they don't go that route and just center it. Also hoping for a deep purple color option. Maybe next year. I'll be due for an upgrade in November, but I will hold onto my deep purple 14 Pro for at least another year.

I’m not usually negative about Apple but this gives me some concerns.
Firstly, having one part of the phone heavier than the other is bound to lead to balance problems. It may well feel top heavy but also it’s bound to happen that you put it down on something in a hurry and it’s going to topple off. And is it more likely to fall out of a pocket if you bend over unless you put the top in first? Is it going to catch on things?
I may well be wrong but with engineering you get a feel for what looks right and sometimes, it just doesn't
Furthermore, it’s going to lead to a weakness and add an aluminium frame to it and another ‘bend gate’ may be looming
Why do we need a bigger battery? For longer autonomy would be a good answer but it’s much more likely that the phone is going to be more power hungry. Probably all the AI
Finally, the move to an Apple wifi chip is a bit of a gamble. Fantastic if they’ve got it right but so far every time they’ve tried anything other than Qualcom they’ve had problems. It’s quite a hard thing to get right.
I hope I’m wrong because my phone is so old I need a new one, but I’m very wary of this one.

I would love a 50 watt magsafe powerbank that are 5mm thin. is that technically possible? and put a magnet on the back too so that when we remove our magsafe phone grip, we can attach it to the powerbank. no need for these "foldable stands" when the whole purpose of a magsafe powerbank is the be *on the go* walking around, maybe even doing cardio at the gym. we don't need foldable stands for sitting at a table. just add magsafe to the back. I see it on some powerbanks but it should be much more widespread.

Camera improvements are very welcome especially for the front camera. Hope that the telephoto lens doesn't go back to 3 or 3.5x zoom. I would like for it to have a 48MP telephoto lens with 5x default zoom that could allow for 10x zoom via sensor cropping.

Faster charging both wired and MagSafe will be great. As for colours, not expecting Apple to wow us with colours on a 'Pro' device. Hope that the rumored 'Sky Blue' will not disappoint.

No real rumours around on the purported battery size of the 17 Pro. Hopefully we get a bit more than the 3582 mh battery in the 16 Pro.
