In other words, the new iPhone will be LESS sturdy and uglier - other than the usual slight camera improvements (which 99% of the world doesn’t care about), all other “features” are not worth mentioning at all.

Given all the negativity in comments about the design, I still like it. It looks fresh, even tho this is just a mockup. Let me try to address all the stuff that other posters have noted:

- Aluminum while not superior to titanium in terms of structural integrity and melting point, is still a good material. After all most Android phone makers (including highly praised, “award winning” Google Pixels) have been making them from unrecyclable plastic until 2019. All the mid tier models are solely plastic. While I wouldn’t really mind even if my iPhone was plastic, aluminum is thousand times better. And recyclable, I don’t have any guilt if I give it to Apple for the metal to be scrapped for a brand new model, while I certainly would have felt guilt if my Android plastic dumbphone would have ended on the landfill.

Why not stainless? It is very heavy. Believe me. My iPhone 11 Pro often feels like a hammer in a hand;

- Camera bump is here to stay if you want triple camera setup. I personally think that ultrawide camera is still very much useless in smartphones and even my ancient GoPro Hero 5 takes sharper images than many ultrawide cameras in smartphones, minus the focusing ability in new models and fancy new macro mode that is half-computational.

Is it ugly?? Well not uglier than Pixel😀 I kinda like that. After all, even if it is “ugly”, would anyone see that behind a thick silicone case?

P.S: nothing can be uglier than regular iPhone 16 back camera setup.

- Design. Look at it. Doesn’t it stand out from the crowd?? Look at the crowd, since 2019 we have same three camera setup. Pro models look all like the same, it ain’t fun when you spot an iPhone in the wild and can’t tell if that is 12 Pro or 16 Pro

It’s a massive downgrade. I don’t understand how anyone could believe aluminum is a better material for the frame of a glass phone. It’s been terrible on any dropped phone made of aluminum. Actually most tech products should pick another material as aluminum isn’t premium or durable. It’s a cheap bendable metal.
There are different grades of aluminum, some of which are high quality and durable.

There are two different renders showing around. One is the lower area looking as a separate unit with a logo on darker shade, other is just same colour continued while rest being same. I personally find the latter more elegant & Apple-like.

Not the aluminum AAPL uses. They are cheap!!! Charge the most and give the least. I have dropped my titanium iPhones countless times and no scratches and never broken a screen. Drop stainless and it’s scratched. Drop aluminum and it’s screwed with massive dents and broken glass. Fact!!!
