Lol. No idea why I felt like I’ve read this article before. Rinse and repeat with the iPhone 17 series coverage.
Apple’s gone full Microsoft 2001. Just a list of tech specs, nothing about what new things we will be able to *do* with the phone. Isn’t anyone there noticing this?
So a bump across the back and STILL protruding cameras?! I might finally skip this refresh.
My iPhone 14 Pro is still so good. Battery just needs a change. 17 Pro will likely be a skip especially if it’s not titanium.

My 12 Pro Max is starting to lag a bit occasionally. It's very usable, but I've noticed it nonetheless. I'm thinking it's may be mostly because of the 6 GB RAM.
The good news is you get that 12 GB RAM whether or not you use AI.
Yeah, that is really the only benefit of this. Otherwise 6GB would have been probably standard until 2027

Oh phew I didnt realize aluminum was lighter than titanium. That is a relief. I quite like the current weight of the 16 Pro and would prefer not to return to the previous heaviness. Shape be damned.
Wait, there's gonna be an iPhone 17 this fall? This is the first I'm hearing about this! Didn't they just come out with the iPhone 16 LAST fall??
Aluminum also dissipates heat a lot better than titanium and steel, so maybe there will be less or no speed throttling when/if Apple Intelligence is busy churning away on some big on-device task.
And Apple will continue to sell 600,000 iPhones per day, every day of the year (on the average) despite all of the negative sky-is-falling reactions to a product that has yet to be introduced by Apple.
Sounds like the regular 17 will have mundane upgrades. It starting to sound like an iPhone 15 upgrade where the 15 pro was specifically upgraded ahead of the 15. The iPhone 16 to me anyways seems like a big jump from 15 to 16 where as the 16 pro feels less exciting than the 15 pro.
Because Apple has leaned into this camera as a big selling point. People gotta take those fascinating food shots.
The improved telephoto camera isn’t a bad thing. Ditto 8k if that’s true.
May skip the i17 now that POTUS says tariffs are NOT off the table for electronics … “denies that there was a tariff “exception” for certain electronics announced Friday, saying in a post on Truth Social that these products are still subject to existing tariffs of 20% and that the administration is looking into tariffs on the whole supply chain for electronics.”

Food shots may be your thing. But as a serious photographer, I’ve been shooting projects based in San Francisco with iPhones starting way back with the iPhone 6 plus, and have accumulated around 28K images, in multiple genres. They’re excellent cameras.
