To save weight, it’s the reason they went to titanium in the first place. Apple knows their phones are becoming hulking monstrosities and if it is thicker it will most likely be heavier tooWhy ditch Titanium unless it’s to save 💰

I'm sure they have a pile of prototypes somewhere with shocking designs like this. Anyway, could do with more camera controle buttons.
So now we’ll get to chose between fat or slim. Isn’t that what people always wanted?
THE RETURN OF THE MINI!That camera bulge looks so much like an iPhone mini riding on the back.
But then it wouldn’t have the iCoNiC iPhone wobble anymore. Why can’t it be thicker to accommodate the lenses, so I could finally put my phone down flat on the table!
It nicely compensates for the empty wallet. At least i will know that my pockets full.
I've just this week got an iPhone 13 mini (from Apple Refurb). It's basically as good as new and will be good for another few years. The size and design of that is so similar to the iPhone 5/6/. The size is perfect, you can use in one hand, like you should be able to do in a phone. If I want to watch long videos whatver, i'll use an iPad. I don't want to carry a huge device around with me 24hrs.My opinion on this is probably going to be the least popular, but this isn't an iPhone anymore. The "iPhone" hasn't been an iPhone for a quite some time in my opinion. It's lost the whole iPhone identity that we knew from around the 4S/5 times, the neon-flat oversaturated overwhelming iOS of today is just that - overwhelming. I used my old 4S with iOS 6 for a few days and it's just so refreshing to use a subtle, neat and organized user interface in a comfortable form factor. Everything what I need works, r/legacyjailbreak community keeps it alive and usable in today's day and age, it has basic tools for everyday use and is the exact opposite of the doom-scrolling neck-bending gadget Apple sells today. I wish we could go back to a less neon/overly-vibrant-neon user interface to something less overwhelming (the amount of white screens in iOS is just insane), and a smaller form factor. And most importantly - no camera bump. We have all the tech needed to achieve this, yet all we get is this bulky big phablet with a massive hunk of a camera in the rear. I don't know, maybe I'm just an old boring dude that just went back to 2011 and preferred it there, but I honestly can't wait for a major iOS redesign and I hope it's going to be more pleasant on the eye and I hope Apple releases another Mini model too.
Apple’s scale of production means that suppliers have to be able to produce these new high density batteries at a volume. There's no reason to make a phone bigger in 2025. They could easily keep up with the times and switch to silicon-carbon batteries for their Pro models. They've clearly gotten too comfortable relying on the "people will buy it anyway" mindset.
And now, they're adding an unnecessarily larger camera frame just for the sake of change, yet they don’t even use this opportunity to make it flush with the camera lens? Where’s the logic in that? The phone will still wobble on one side.
AMEN TO THIS, I wish for a next years iPhone that has the advancement, that the camera fits into the (more or less) slim body. I would take the same camera performance for that! And PLEASE bring this to the iPad too. I don't get why at least the iPad Air doesn't have a completely flat back...Why can’t it be thicker to accommodate the lenses, so I could finally put my phone down flat on the table!
That's what they said about the iPhone 6 coming from the 5......We have gone a far way from the Iphone 6, top end iphones are getting bigger and bigger, and heavier.
