I want to be able to hide the now useless weather and stocks apps that came on the phone from apple.

MMS
Video Recording
Copy & Paste
Flash
and have the phone's Bluetooth be able to transfer my phonebook with my Pioneer Avic D3/BTB-200 setup

Is this asking too much???

I'm hoping for an app that allows for free prostate exams. I think with the camera and gorgeous screen, they could work something out. Got to keep the plumbing clean.

I was thinking that a task manager (from Apple) would be a nice app, sure there are some at the app store, but most (if not all) smartphones include some sort of task manager standard on the phone.

Also as mentioned a million times before...

MMS
Copy/Paste
iChat (the AIM app sucks in my opinion)
Text message fowarding
Video recorder

I'm sure there are more that just have not come to mind currently...

MMS

It's so embarrassing when someone ask you to send a photo to their 6 year old phone and you say you don't have MMS.

Then they say, it's an iPhone supposed to be the sweetest phone available?
To which the answer is "Let me email it to your phone. Oh, yours can't do email? You're so stuck in the past. MMS?! You need to get an iPhone. Ha ha ha ha ha ha ha" etc.

Maybe we're not talking about the same thing, but doesn't it already do that? One of the things on my wishlist would be the ability to add terms to the autotext dictionary. Autotext is always changing my nickname (my real name, not my screen name) to all-caps because it is the same as a common acronym. It drives me crazy, actually.

In addition to other things listed here, I would love the ability to send a text to multiple recipients (not forwarding; sending one message to several people at the same time). Even my crappy old super-basic phone did that.

you can currently send one text to multiple recipients.. A lot of people apparently dont know their phones inside out :D

it's definitely not as easy as on a Motorola, say. They give you a list of your contacts, and you can go down the list checking off who you want to send it to. On the iPhone you have to individually enter the names of the recipients. Not a big deal if you're sending it to a couple people, but if you want to text all your contacts (say if you change your phone number) it is a pain in the ass.

i think that depends on how many contacts you have and how many you are sending the text too. scrolling through 230 contacts to find 5 people isnt as easy as typing the first couple letters of their last names imo

honestly, the iphone is great as it is EXCEPT for one thing:

a "search" feature on the iphone's ipod!!

i have 2000 songs on my phone, and searching for a specific one is a nightmare, since a lot of my songs aren't tagged properly.

i don't think apple will bring this simple feature, because not having a search feature promotes the idea of buying songs via itunes which are properly tagged, and thus finding them is easier.

truly sad, but i'll live...

MMS! The number one reason why I haven't gotten the iphone yet. I get tons of pictures sent via MMS daily from various ladies. Im not giving that up and trust me, you wouldn't either.

OK, lets see...hm... I want:

1. a button to switch off autocorrection
2. GMail Push Email, since they doing this for the GPhone
3. ability to rotate pictures for real
4. new appstore design ( anyone likes to scroll through 1000 games ? )
5. ad hoc for gaming ( even though non of my friends have an iPhone)
6. more stability for AppStore and Safari both of which close themselves sometimes
7. better overall performance of OS iPhone, like the step from 2.0.2 to 2.1, which was, maybe just for me, huge...
8. third party push thing( they promised that i think)
9. When you click on a link at the appstore, safari opens and puts you right through

Thats all i can think of right now

How often to you find yourself cutting and pasting in your iPhone?

Push is a must.

wtf dude do u know how much i'm like hey let me copy the password to my safari from an email then i'm like shoot no copy and paste so yes i would us it a lot! But i have an app (must be jailbroken) that has copy and paste between apps such as text email safari and notes i can copy and paste so again i do use it day to day.

who are you looking at?

Except that 3.0 will come out on the shiny iPhone 4G a year from now.

By the way, it will also be called "iPhone MMS" or "iPhone Copy/Paste", depending on what feature they decide to introduce in 3.0 and which one they decide to keep for 3.1 ;)

here's a secret : it will be called iPhone Sun and comes without a charger...

Most of the things that have been mentioned.

And a complete re-write of the YouTube app so it is useful.

Horizontal support in SMS and email...

Phazer

1- Better call logs...today we only have missed & all. I would like to see in addition call made, received.
2- Be able to remove the dial tone
3- Be able to organize my desktop
4- Mark message as all read
These are my priorities of the moment but of course all other ideas mentionned are nice to have.

even if my songs were properly tagged, I would much rather just type in the song i want to play.

I have over 2200 songs in my iPhone. If you honestly have issues finding a song quickly to play it with the proper tags, then I don't know what to tell you.

Features

I had a Treo 700wx before the iPhone and had to switch carriers when I moved. There is some basic funtionality that I feel is missing.

1. Ability to invite people when creating a calendar entry
2. Sort email by name or anything else for that matter
3. Cut and Paste
4. Sync to do's and notes
5. Change tones for notifications(Can anyone hear the tone when an email arrives?)
6. Show upcoming events and user info on locked home screen.

I know there are more I am missing, but for now the iphone is a really neat gadget, but far from a business class machine.

quite hugging the apple tree.

you are not going to sit there and convince me that it is better to manually browse through a playlist as opposed to just typing a couple letters in.

Mms

I really don't see much point in MMS, as I don't use it but I'm sure a lot of people would use it. However we will not see it until a the next phone comes out as all the iPhone plans don't include an MMS bundle.:apple::apple::apple:
