No worries. I suppose the text app doesn't really have any features though so it doen't need its own settings! :D
 
Ok that worked (red faced). That isn't very obvious. I guess I was expecting it to be like the desktop version with the streets highlighted in blue or at least an option to turn it on and off on the settings page.

I'm going through the same thing. I also have been backing up for almost 20 min. This is starting to feel a lot like the mass chaos of 2.0.

iPhone 2.2 is out... iPhone Hellas was right!

Nice new features but still no Greek support...

I would like to mention though that iPhone Hellas was the first website worldwide claiming that the new iPhone OS will be available today, but MacRumors was a bit worried about the reliability of the greek site. It seems now that, as Gizmodo said, iPhone Hellas is consistently reliable.

All the best and let's hope iPhone OS 2.3 will be an even bigger upgrade.

Not high enough on their priority list?!?! At lease they put the Google bar in Safari though, everyone was gagging for that feature :rolleyes: :D

I agree though, the text app is FAR too simple, and not 2 bring up M**, but that should be built into the text app, not a separate app
 
Street View: Activation

For those of you having trouble getting Street View open in Google Maps on 2.2.

Please note, the iPod Touch 1 or 2 does NOT support Street View AT ALL! Don't ask, don't complain!!

1) Drop a pin somewhere, or search for a location.
2) Tap the pin to bring up the info, etc.
3) Tap this:

4) Enjoy Street View!!

NB: Only works in areas with Google Street View. If you can't get Street View on your computer, it won't work on iPhone either. Don't whine about this either!

CAUTION! Sounds No Longer Work

Hello All-
....not sure what the heck is going on, but, since upgrading to v 2.2 tonight, my sound no longer works. No music, no movies, no audio/video podcast sounds....I hope this lil sucka rings when I get a phone call. I'm expecting an important one early this a.m. THAT would be really f 'd. I've checked my settings and everything looks fine. Any suggestions? Hope you all aren't having the same issue. Anyone else having this problem? Good luck....

Agreed There's room for improvement. It's far too simple of an app. They could do better (as I type this post on my iPhone in landscape I wonder why I can't in the text app.......)
