2.2 Update and QuickPwn

Has anybody tried updating to 2.2 and using the current version of QuickPwn?

Not looking good for us original unlocked iPhones...From engadget

"Well i think I figured it out. It won't recognize your phone if you are using a sim card other than AT&T, and luckily tonight I just happen to have an AT&T card on hand. So now its updating fine. Guess I won't be able to unlock it afterwards."

Is it just me or does the entire phone feel quicker at doing almost everything? App switching, moving from page to page in iTunes and App Store, returning to the home screen, scrolling, etc etc.

I am now experiencing no lag in contacts. very smooth:D

same here. great improvement in performance - have to say that I am surprised with this update

I love the irony... I can't update my iPhone which is constantly crashing because my MBP is in for a repair of a busted fan :(

I hope you ll get yours back asap. Will you be able to get it before the weekend?

I agree. There is no momentary pause when entering the settings screen or contacts list, as there was before (for me, at least).

I can't tell you how jealous I am. I can't remember the last time I used the words quicker and my iPhone in the same sentence!

I agree, I am not experiencing any lag at all and everything seems very fluid.

Why would apple do that? Can anyone else confirm this?

Confirmed, on a 1G iPod touch. The release notes didn't mention any "Enhancements to Maps" and I have no walking directions or street view (not even in places like Times Square.)

I hope so, I'm going to call again tomorrow. The funny thing is, that when I took the MBP in I also took in my iPhone and the genius told me to do a clean restore and it would fix the problems. It didn't and I told myself when I go to pick up the MBP I'm going to ask for a new iPhone. Hopefully 2.2 will fix the problems I've been having.

so does anyone know for us users with a hacked iphone if we can download this or do we have to wait for pwnage to release an update?

Yeah first gen Touch here, and no streetview. Sucks balls, oh well the podcast download ability is awesome.

I'm testing right now on iPhone. For the most part seems very much improved! SMS seems slower though and my typing is lagging as I type this!

They should have added something news worthy to steal the Storm's "Thunder" That was bad but I couldn't resist....:)

Yeah, this steals nothing. I keep on clicking my texting icon and for some reason, I still can send pictures texts. What gives?

Seriously, everything may seem smoother and less buggy, but that is something we should have received long ago. I'm sorry, maybe I shouldn't take a properly running phone for granted. I think too many people are setting the bar too high for these updates.

I would wait for a pwnage update before doing anything. I don't think that the wait will be long, I guess its going to be a matter of hours
