still not able to receive or send mms and i have just restored new phone with b3.....maybe i should put on the new ipcc?
any thoughts?
thanks

uhm, seriously, your simcard (in other words, your phone number) cannot send or receive mms from any phone, not just iphone, and you don't know what the problem is?

you plan isn't enabled for mms

If you put your sim in a MMS capable phone and are not able to send or receive MMS it would be safe to say that MMS is not enabled on your account and that you will not be able to send or receive MMS on your iPhone. I think this is the best initial test you could do before calling AT&T to get them to change any settings on your account.

i tried on another phone and got nothing. yet att insists mms is enabled on my phone both internally through snooper and on my plan. i know i have the unlimited messaging plan that is not IPHONE SPECIFIC, HOWever still nothing...what else can i do?
thanks

the most recent genius at att told me that they are not authorized to allow mms for iphone, and although yes, my phone is provisoned correctly, the reason it does not work, is because it is not supposed to work.....ahh customer service's finest.......I REALLY WOULD LIKE THIS TO WORK!!!!

ahhh...but there's the rub, it is enabled. through snooper and the like.

mine was provisioned correctly from att's side. but always failed sending or receiving from my iphone. i put the sim in a couple other phones, both those failed. So i put my sim back into the iphone, tried again about an hour later.....works like a champ. so much uproar over a feature that is so old. glad its finally here is all i can say.

interesting...when you say it was provisoned correctly, what do you mean exactly? what did you say to att? how long has it been working for you?

I called 611 said I'm in the iPhone developer program and went on to explain apple gives devs the new software.

I think it's been mentioned earlier in the thread but the normal iPhone messenging packages has an mms opt out feature code. They took me off the iPhone messenging plan and put me on the normal messageing unlimited. Both are the same price, one just allows mms to be sent/received.

i just wanted to make sure we did the same thing. i have done what you said above a few times, but still nothing. i even tried to put sim card in other phone and got nowhere that way. when i changed it back to iphone i am still mms"less" after about two weeks....dont know why....
