A bit of an update. My BlackBerry did not work, I can think of quite a few reasons why it didn't, but mine should be an isolated case with the exception of not having the BB data service enabled on my account.

However, I am now fully MMS enabled. I called ATT for the second time yesterday and nicely explained the situation with being an iPhone Dev and all. Of course the CSR defaulted to the ATT internal systems saying that OS 2.2.1 is the current OS, blah blah blah, but with kind persistence she tried one more thing. My account was already set to Family Text plan (I did this 2 weeks ago when I first installed Beta 1), so that wasn't the issue. The rep said she wanted to send a quick update to the phone and asked me to power off and back on again. She tweaked something on my account, and boom MMS was working. It was a little like pulling teeth to get her to tell me what she switched, but finally she spilled it. She went into an internal ATT system called "Snoopers" and turned on MMS capabilities. Apparently merely switching your text plan to the family plan and removing the iPhone text option isnt enough. There was this one more switch in "Snoopers" which was required. MMS now works like a charm, short of the occasional (twice since the ATT call) reboot.

does media net have anything to do with this or is it just a snooper thing regardless of media net?

I did nothing at all with MediaNet or putting my SIM in another phone. I would think it is quite possible that this Snooper thing does exactly what signing up for MediaNet does, enables MMS on that particular phone number.

MMS Shut Down

I had the same issues, media net not recognizing phone number, iphone not changing in att account. However I think what worked for me is keeping the sim in the non-iphone for over an hour, making calls, doing mms texting. Make sure when you put the sim back in the iphone, to turn mms texting on in settings>messeges. Keep trying.

Mine worked for a day and just tried it, now I get the ! error, Urrr. I think after awhile the system knows youu've switched out the sim back into the iphone.???

i agree, i think the system can be fooled for a few hours but then it will revert back to the phone you currently havce the sim card in. i dont know if this snooper thiing is for real, so far i havent had luck getting the cs rep to change it. they transfered me to tech support who wouldnt budge and didnt wAnt to be helpful at all. still gonna try another cs rep now...

Keep trying, the Rep I had said be persistent. I am going on almost 24 hours of MMS working with WiFi on and a couple of reboots.

Damn that sucks! Sounds like the rep did everything my rep did yesterday. I am using the AT&T 5 ipcc file if that helps at all. Are you composing a new MMS message? or trying to resend previously failed messages?

already rebooted several times....looks like we may need another call to cs although i am not sure what more they can do for me.

a. dont know how to check the ipcc file....can you tell me how?
b. trying to resend pictue

Try composing a new message.

You can check the ipcc version in Settings - General - About - Carrier

I applied the ipcc file referenced earlier in this thread.

my ipcc is att 3.5 is it difficult to update? do i need to update? i have tried composing new messages to myself and still getting the red triangle....

The ipcc update is easy, look back a page or 2 in this thread, there will be a link to the file, and instructions. The only other thing I can suggest is turning MMS off, then back on again to see if that fixes it.

ok i will check it out, i am also in the process of downloading iphone beta 3.0 version 3 which was just posted and then i will see if that fixes it.

just installed beta 3 ...no big deal nothing new that i found, mms still not working will try after i get ipcc 5 build.

got carrier 5.0, and snooper says mms is enabled, everything i have i think is set up right but i still can not get mms to work. dont know what more to do. this is a bummer...

patience

Remember I said using the method I posted, that it takes patience. It didn't work immediately after it took a while to work like an hour or so. When I did it it didn't start working until hours later. It still works for me (week strong) and I just got beta 3 installed while sending mms!

phone needs one last reboot after you upload the ipcc, after that mms should work, make sure you're on 3G (just more stable), and try to send a small pic to yourself first

I've rebOoted and rebooted after Two days I'm still getting the try again message. I don't k ow what else to do. I'm using ipcc 5.0 and beta 3 still nothing

after putting sim card in new phone. i can not send or receive mms with the motorla....this is weird, now what should i do?

still not able to receive or send mms and i have just restored new phone with b3.....maybe i should put on the new ipcc?
