i have no emails i use hotmail cnt get it to work on iphone i deleted my call history and my sms and its still there?

I had hotmail and it downloaded every message I had saved in my inbox, not just the new ones. See if the size of your hotmail inbox is similar. It may have downloaded anyway. Also how many contacts do you have? Do you have pictures saved for them at all? Other than that, I don't know.

If I have an iPhone and an iPod Touch, will I be able to apply the software update from the iPhone to the iPod Touch?

I ask because I really don't want to have to pay for the 3.0 on my iPod then have it obsolete in 1 day, 18 hours, 11 minutes (I'm not excited for it... and yes my O2 store is opening at 9:02, its a bit sad)

Apple has never claimed as far as I know that they have to charge for the iPod touch updates. I have only seen that said from people outside Apple.

Apple charged for the upgrade to 1.1.4, to 2.0, and so it's quite obvious they would charge for 3.0

Further to my last post, just received this from O2 Ireland by email:

P.S. If you already have an iPhone, I strongly recommend you download the latest software OS 3.0 from your iTunes. It’s free and available from 6pm tonight (June 17th).

This will allow you to do some new stuff - such as 'cut, copy and paste', 'spotlight search' and a lot more. If you have a 3G iPhone, it will allow you start sending picture messages (MMS).
