We already know this. The question is whether new iPod Touch purchased on or after the 17th will come preloaded with 3.0 or as a free upgrade. I asked this in the iPod Touch forum but people seem divided on this, with some saying we'll most definitely pay for the upgrade even for new iPod Touch bought on or after the 17th, some claiming it should come with 3.0 if purchased directly from Apple.com, and yet others saying they'll give a $10 discount so you can apply it towards the update.
dasikes I noticed that too. Bluetooth on the iPod touch? That either seems like a blatant mistake (copy and paste from iPhone features), or very significant!

that's not a mistake. though it is only for 2g iPod Touch. the Nike+ is actually a bluetooth chip, Apple is just enabling it for other stuff with 3.0.
Wait, What? So does that mean if I have a iPod 2G and buy a Nike+ I get stereo bluetooth audio? I'm surprised this hasn't been mentioned anywhere else.

But looks like it might be only for 3G S phones...
you don't have to buy Nike+. it's built into the 2g. all you have to do is upgrade to 3.0 and you'll have it.
Wow guess I've been living under a rock. This is an awesome feature for $10!
Just curious. Would iTunes alert you about a new update if your device is docked in? Or do we keep hitting the 'Check for Update' button?
