This time ATT beats Apple. I tried to order via Apple for almost an hour. With ATT it took less than 2 minutes.

At first my attempts at ATT kept timing out. Tried Apple and only got as far as inputting my ATT data before timing out over and over. Gave ATT a try again, clicked on link to learn more about iPhone 4 and followed links to upgrade. That did the trick.

Maintence page now. Complete joke of a preorder. A)Apple and ATT put out times 2)prepare your servers to handle 3)develop queue system to help keep customers waiting patiently 4)do not uninform potential customers that the color they might want isn't available yet. (not my issue)

at&t premiere website doesn't show iphone 4
apple website slowly moving forward, but my upgrade pricing says "full price"
typical - att servers screwed yet again....

att

i couldn't get through with apple

so i went to at&t, but at first it didn't show me the new iphone, just 3gs, but when i specifically selected apple as the manufacturer on the left hand side iphone 4 came right up, and i was able to order with no problem.

hope this works for you all

First!

Message, that is...

Ok, I got through with a reserve, but for $699...

I think the answer to my query is obvious, but I can go in to the Apple Store on the 24th and get it for the discounted price I am eligible for, right?

Thanks

Yeah, just finished as well after 10 or so tries. It's weird at the end it shows the 32gb iphone $699. I'm assuming it is just listing the "value" and on the day of pick up, they will reduce price according to your contract... =/

Gave up and went through AT&T ugh...

I bet AT&T and apple had a wager. Whoever sold the most pre-orders got to call when exclusivity ended.

I tried twice on Apple's site with no luck.

Ordered 2 phones, seperately, from ATT.COM and got my confirmations for pre-order.

Apple ended up only letting me reserve.

furthest i got after about an hour of trying... :(

i guess ill just pony up the full price at at&t and let my apple giftcards go to waste

you & me both!
**** - this couple with my severe insomnia is gonna make the day miserable

i ended up ordering from AT&T... does anyone think that it makes a difference where you order from?

Apple site too slow

After struggling with the Apple site for 45 minutes, unable to complete an order after numerous attempts, I darted over to the AT&T site and boom...place the order for my new iPhone on the first try. My only concern is delivery time, but at least I got one.

been waiting 30 mins in processing information stage. Anyone wait this long or should i end it and start over

Yup, this sucks. Oh well. gotta sleep. to bad.

Ironic how everyone is ordering from the ATT site and the apple site is crap. LMAO
