Waiting For White - Will Endure 55 Hour Queue If Necessary

Well I've been trying to pre-order for over an hour now I'm kinda getting pi**ed. I might as well just wait for the white one.
I have no intention of buying black when the first different colored face in 3 years is only a matter of sitting and sleeping in a queue for a couple of days next week. I expect that each Apple Store will get a few hundred white models to sell to those of us who are willing to endure the humiliation of being in the store queues next week. If not, I'll enjoy iOS 4 on my 3GS 'til I can order my White 32.

Don't waste your time on apple website. Just go to att.com, enter your wireless info. Click upgrade. Then when you see the phones, if the Iphone 4 doesn't show up, click to sort by brand (Apple) and you will see the Iphone. I waited on the apple site for over an hour and couldn't get through. Just ordered mine to be shipped to my house in 5 minutes on AT&T website. I'm bummed they don't have the white, but it's not a deal breaker for me. It's an amazing phone! I can't wait to play with it next week. My kids will be up in about 4 hours so I better get some sleep! Good luck everyone!

The new phone isnt showing up for some people at all, even after sorting properly. Just got off phone with ATT they wont take upgrade orders by phone and cant access it on the web at this point either.

of course not

got through - sort of

I got through but got the e-mail saying ZERO dollars and just the tax. I then went and looked at my credit card and there is a $217 hold from apple on there so I think it went through. I have an order # and says it will arrive on the 24th.

Do you guys think I'm good?

I think it's funny that so many people are scrambling to pre-order an iPhone right now. Honestly what's the pressure? My iPhone 3G was stolen last month, you'd think I'd be freaking out trying to get a new iPhone. I'm not, and why should I?

I want a white iPhone 4. I'm not upset that it won't be available at launch and I don't mind waiting around for it. Apple will release it when they release it, and I'll purchase it then. I'm not going to complain about the old Blackberry I'm using as a temporary replacement. Getting the new iPhone on the day of launch verses a month later won't change my life any. Folks just chill about the website not taking preorders efficiently right now. Most of you are getting into the store indirectly, since its still not accessible through the main page. So just calm down.

I too feel the same way, but people have the right to complain: when a company enables a link saying "pre-order", they have to stand by their offering. It's not the end of the world if you don't get it now (this is the first time I am attempting to get an iPhone at launch), but if they put something up, it should work.

Cheers

Your rationalizing is of no help. I enjoy punching my keyboard and typing in my info repeatedly for over an hour. Yeah that's how I get my fun. Oh and no sleep too. WIN

I'm buying it to immediately sell internationally and pay off a credit card. AT&T will finally have done something useful for me, and then I can buy a phone that actually can send and receive calls.

I seriously don't understand why Verizon compatibility wasn't a priority over FaceTime.

Weak, I must have just gotten through. Sorry :(

Thanks for this, but when I try it AT&T just asks me if I want paperless billing, (I've actually never not had it but it asks every time I log-in,) this kills the process and makes it impossible to get to the pre-order screen.

should I be excited it finally got to a

And looking at which store over an hour a way I want to try and reserve one?

This is so much a pain in the...

Softbank

I just went to Softbank...same story. Only the black iPhone is available and no word on the white one yet.

No iPhone 4 option for me when doing this, not sure what the issue is, and how lame for them not to set this up better. You'll see all the ATT bashing today, and deservedly so.

I am guessing we are not supposed to be able to pre-order yet, and now that everything is flooded, they will probably end up taking it all down until later in the morning, but still honor any that got through properly.

Where is the no commitment pricing option on the AT&T site!?!? I sold my iPhone 3gs for $400 and want to pay $599 without the 2 year commitment

Gave up on Apple and Went with ATT

At first my attempts at ATT kept timing out. Tried Apple and only got as far as inputting my ATT data before timing out over and over. Gave ATT a try again, clicked on link to learn more about iPhone 4 and followed links to upgrade. That did the trick.

So att premire website must be really enforcing the one phne per family line policy.

i was able to place one order but the have now canceled my new 2 orders 4 times. i am just going to head to the corp. att store this morning and placing my other 2 orders. i know i wont get it to june 25 with store pickup but that fine with me.

AT&T Site Fail Also!

I've been able to order it 3 times. But each time I get an email a few minutes later saying the order has been cancelled because I'm trying to buy too many lines online and I have to go in person to an AT&T store. I'm just trying to upgrade one eligible line.

Got real far on the Apple site a few times but it just won't consummate the deal.
