All I keep hearing is "Waaaaaahhh I wants my preorder noooow!" or "Apple should have been prepared" puhleese. There isn't enough bandwidth in the world to stop probably a million people trying to log on to the same site at the same time. Grow a pair, I love Apple but the fans piss and moan and cry like children.

Its only the most popular smart phone in the world, god forbid you don't get it first. :apple:

That's what pisses me off. How can you advertise both the entire time, and then at pre-order time just drop the white? If i knew from WWDC on i would at least known to decide 1) Get black or 2) Wait. Now i'm just stuck being pissed. Grrr. Whatever. I'll just not have an iPhone i guess. Screw it.

Relax... it's just a color.

if i pre order using at&t any idea when i will get the phone? at&t seems to be not be lagging at all to preorder directly from them.

They say "as early as" the 24th, but disclaim any guaranteed delivery date.

Just reserved my 16GB iPhone 4 for pickup at the apple store in Madison. I was gonna do shipping until I found out that it could only be sent to att billing address (I'm away at college). It says there will be one waiting for me on the 24th and the store opens at 7AM. I'll be there bright and early. Hooray!

UK iPhones contract free are unlocked?

Are the contract free phones in the UK really unlocked?

I gave up with apple.com

Just headed over to att.com. Made 3 preorders 32gb black on premiere att.com account. Easy.

Wish there was a white one for my wife but she was ok with black and uses a cover anyways.

Yeah, but even after getting past that it hung at the next step, so I'm not convinced it's AT&T that's the problem.

Maybe the Apple<->AT&T connection is via a tethered iPhone. :D

haha, that would be interesting, but i am guessing its due to both parties at this time. i guess no one (apple/att) learned there lesson yet, give it another couple years before they get it right? ;)

Just want to order. Getting no love at Apple site or ATT. :( I realize it is popular, but really, hasn't either of these companies learned about any of the other launches? Do we learn? Have a que system. Have a we'll call you back system. something to help with the deluge of people trying to order?

Where did you find it on the premire site? I see preorder for 3gs 8 GB not the Iphone 4 in the list at all.

Tim

O2 Recycle

While everyone is going on about how expensive it is dont forget that O2 are offering almost 200 GBP for your old iPhone so realistically for 400 GBP you are getting a contract / network free piece of art.....and then you can jump around the networks to suit and see which one is best...

uugghh

Got passed the Check upgrade a few times and then timed out on the next step....

did any of you who hit the 'pick up in store' get an email confirmation....? I have nothing, but I'm SURE i went throught he whole process

After at least 30 attempts through the Apple site, I finally ordered through AT&T, but had to sacrifice my Unlimited Data grandfathered plan.

Cannot believe that no one had the foresight to expect this much traffic though the Apple site for pre-orders. Apple and AT&T ought to be ashamed (regardless of whose fault it is).

Anyone else getting through but not getting the early upgrade price? My date says 11/28/2010 but i'm getting a message saying i'm only eligible for the $499 upgrade price.

usually it takes some time to get the email confirmation, and by guessing the traffic that apple is getting at this time it might take even longer to actually receive the email confirmation.

can only pre order iphone 4 on AT&T's website for business, not a regular wireless account, I've checked several times, it's not available yet. But my gf, who is on a business line, has already pre ordered hers. Yet another fail.

This whole process is running about as smooth as Steve Job's WWDC keynote this year...
