iPhone 4 Bumpers on eBay.

Just wanted to chime in to say I ordered the 17 dollar bumpers from seller yumelectronics. I got white, and got it today. I'm very pleased with the quality. When compared to the official apple bumper, the only difference is the buttons are shinier than the offical bumper's matte polished metal.

Having said that, I picked up an official black bumper from the apple store today and am having a hard time choosing which one I want to keep on, the fake white one or the official black one. I'll also be getting an orange one from Gong Wei soon.

I bought a blue one from this seller and I found myself liking the knock-off better than the Apple version. It's not as polished and clean-looking as Apple, but the yummyelectronics bumper has a tighter fit, comes on and off easier, and doesn't get dirty half as much as the original did. I've had it for about three weeks and it's getting a bit discolored, but I'm still happy with it.

Anyone know how the items are from dealextreme? Looks like a cheap knockoff items but have good prices.. Anyone ordered from there?
 
I bought mine and couldn't be happier. Never had the apple bumper, but this one does more than enough and fits tightly, and best of all it cost me 5€. Quite a bargain :D
 
Just came across the thread, not sure if its too old but I just thought I'd register and give my 2 cents.

I'm very happy with my bumper purchase from ebay seller iLidz_Store priced at $15.99 USD, primarily because they carry their stock the U.S. (fast shipping, though I'm located in the same state so I got overnight delivery ;)) and their customer service is quick, polite, and fluent in English. Though more expensive than the typical Hong Kong seller, their service is superb and shipping was prompt. Pictures in the description were cool too haha, looks much more reliable.

I've attached some pictures below to share one of the few bumpers I've purchased from them. Sorry, haven't had time to open and try the rest, let alone photograph them :D.

My only complaint, they shipped in a smaller sized bubble envelope. I had hoped to see something much larger in the mail to feed my excitement :D haha.

As some of you have had issues about the shiny buttons with the fake ebay bumpers, this one has matte buttons that are very tactile.

Huge shout out to theiphone4 for a great referral. Received my order promptly, though not overnight haha (little faster than most of my Hong Kong or "so-they-say" california aka drop ship orders).

Most importantly, product came tightly packaged in their compact but secure kraft 4.5 x 8 inch bubble envelopes. Great people, great product, free shipping..what more can I say..

Two thumbs up!

I ended up buying an orange and pink one from them. Shipped for $3 each, can't complain. I've owned a genuine bumper before and I can say that these are 95% accurate. I was amazed at the quality. I'll take pics if I can, but they're being used on my parents' phones.

Didn't research before buying, but had I known that they shipped from China, I wouldn't have ordered cause it took almost a month to arrive. Got three bumpers and one was missing a volume button so I'm super excited to deal with that...

Overall, they have a firmer, snugger fit than the ones from yummyelectronics and Apple but have the worst cut of the three. I'm still planning on using them though cause I somehow managed to get it to work with my Griffin car charger, though it did disconnect whenever I moved it too much. Not having to take off the bumper every time I get into my car makes me a happy enough camper though.
 
what do you mean by worst cut? do they not align with the phone correctly? i was planning on ordering a few white bumpers so im just curious. thanks

The speakers/usb cutouts are fine but everything else is a bit offset. It's not a problem really unless you happen to be slightly ocd, but I'd still recommend purchasing if you don't mind the wait.

The bumper I bought from ebay seller iLidz_Store had no problems whatsoever. They seem to have a warehouse in both USA and Canada, Vancouver B.C. as well, meaning they ship out of both locations. I assume USA orders will come from their USA warehouse, and Canadian orders from their Canadian warehouse.
 
Did you guys ever experienced the silicony part getting dark?
I had the orange and green, and man they suck after a month or two...

They got really dark. then just yesterday the sleep wake button fell...

Does the real apple bumpers get darker after a while?
 
People that bought the apple one were complaining about buttons that came lose, OEM version does not have those problems. Funny?
