iPhone 4 Goes on Sale at AT&T Retail Stores and Online Today, Lines Start Forming (Again)

I ordered mine yesterday at 8:20 a.m (est) via the online ATT store and it shipped today with delivery tomorrow! Much easier than standing in line all day.
WHAT? What sort of super secret squirrel handshake did you use for that blazing fast delivery?
My brother ordered yesterday & it shipped today. My mother is going to be PISSED. She ordered from Apple Monday & it won't get there until July 26th.
Online Order
Wow I don't know how some of you are getting your online orders so early, but thats awesome. I ordered my yesterday and got the order confirmation email, but nothing about it being shipped yet. I would consider myself lucky if I got it by this week.

I just placed my order on AT&T this morning. However, it is unfair that there are such inconsistent ship times depending on where and when you order the iPhone. Clearly, the process was whacked.
I'll just wait and see when I get the phone. Their website (AT&T) mentions 7-10 days.

I ordered through the regular site, I am a new customer to AT&T, I wonder if that makes a difference. With the rumors of verizon iphone circulating, I did have a moment of hesitation and thought about canceling but then decided that Verizon's network will probably be just as overwhelmed when it gets the iphone. And the rumor is still just a rumor. Yes it is wierd about the differences in Apple and ATT. I think ATT held back a bunch of phones whereas Apple did not. That can be the only explanation.
I ordered 2 32GB iphones for a family plan
I ordered through the regular site yesterday morning and ordered a 16G. They told me then it would be 7-10 days (which I was fine with). Of course, I'm thrilled with the new arrival time of tomorrow, but i do understand some of the bad taste those of you that ordered last week are tasting. My guess would be that AT&T had a set amount and Apple gave it to them, then Apple had a set amount. When Apple continued to sell its allotment, it ran the wait time up. AT&T just started selling its allotment, so their backlog isn't that bad at all.
Of course, I'm just guessing. I really have no idea.

Thanks for the response southwayneapple & Dctape. Did anybody that ordered an iPhone from the Premier site receive a shipping confirmation? Mine still says processing and I ordered on early on the 29th.

I just got an e-mail from AT&T saying that my order has been cancelled. The message says the following:
Dear XXXXXXXX,
Thank you for choosing AT&T.
Unfortunately, we were either unable to verify the information you provided or you have exceeded the number of lines of service that we allow customers to purchase online. As a result, your order has been canceled
I verified that all of my info was correct so I'm not sure what the problem was. Oh well ..... I guess I'll try walking into an AT&T store and see what happens.

I ordered a little later on the 29th and have yet to receive an email about it being shipped. It is still in the processing phase. Though I do not expect it to ship until next week, unless they have the 32GB in stock. I too ordered through the premier account site.

I called Premier Customer service regarding my order (ordered on 6/29 @ 12:40am) & was told that the 32gb was on backorder. The order status site shows as still processing. Oh well, it looks like I won't get my phone until next week at the earliest.

Mine came in today. It is waiting for activation of my little 16G friend now. 48 hours total from ordering via the AT&T site to my front door. I'm sorry that some of you had to wait, and I'm not wanting to rub salt in the wound. I'm just really excited.
