iPhone 4 lost to EVO on CNET prizefight...

They point out the antenna flaw as a big issue, but how come they don't point out that the EVO has MASSIVE light leakage and screen separation problems? It's total BS in my opinion. The iPhone 4 has changed the smartphone market yet again and everyone wants to suck the EVO's huge, ugly penis. Drives me nuts.

Because its not massive?

The Evo has a huge penis?

The one thing that always sticks out on Android/HTC is how juddery the pinch to zoom is. I still believe Safari is the iPhone's trump card, even without Flash it's a smooth and almost desktop like browsing experience on the go.

If you could get the EVO w/o having to pay the 4G premium I'm sure more people would be happy.

I always felt that the replaceable battery factor is meh. I've never had to replace any of my batteries in any of my iPods or iPhone. I've also never had issues with running out of battery at the wrong time. Finally, I've never seen many people with phones that have battery access actually carry a spare battery with them (even on trips).

The funny thing is that here in Scotland I've heard people moan about the iPhone 4 being "a brick" and needing a "forklift" to carry.

Wait until they see the Evo! Some people don't quite get that smartphones need bigger screens because of what they do.

I like how all the editors describe the Evo / Android experience as "smooth". I sold my 3GS in order to save money and get on my family plan with Sprint and purchased an EVO, and it ran worse than my 3GS, not to mention the iPhone 4. I quickly cancelled and paid full price for the iphone, It was just not a user friendly device.

That fee is irrelevant, Sprint is till cheaper than comparable Att Iphone plans. Also how quickly does everyone forget that Iphone data went from $20 to $30 when the Iphone 3g was introduced, and 3g wasnt available in all major markets at that point either.

The performance category is ridiculous. The iPhone scored a whole point lower, even though the battery is phenomenal, call quality has actually improved, and the speed of this thing is sick. Not to mention the multimedia category, where they were tied. iPhone is THE multimedia phone. This Prizefight was so dumb and flawed.

I agree.

Iphone is the KING of multimedia? Not until they support more music formats and video formats. EVO wins.

Also not to mention when talking about multimedia you have to take in account the screen size and resolution. Evo whens there.

You must also talk about youtube HQ, EVO wins there.

EVO has sprint TV... Win

HDMI out... Win...

How again is Iphone king of multimedia?

because it has PROPER syncing software and a real ecosystem to work with. H.264 is the ONLY video format that should be used on mobile devices so yeah.

I stopped caring about CNET after James Kim passed away. R.I.P.

Their prize fights are lame. The Nokia N95 was technically a better phone and with more features, and the 2G iPhone still won. Forget CNET, Gizmodo, Engadget, PC World, and Tech Buffalo (Jon4Lakers can be such a Apple homer).

The best cell phone reviewer on the Internet is Noah from Phonedog. Straight shooter. Objective when he has to. Watch his phone comparisons on YouTube.

King of multimedia Management? I will give you that... But not the KING of multimedia.. sorry.

Android has syncing solutions.. I can even sync using Itunes on my phone. I can also use doubletwist or media monkey, windows media player.. I can go on and on.

Or you can just drag and drop ;)

iTunes. On my computer. On my iPhone. On my iPad. All synching together.

Not to mention rented movies, the app store with thousands of fantastic apps, HD video capture and editing with iMovie, one of the best cameras on a mobile device, etc. The iPhone has THE BEST multimedia capability on the market, and that's a fact. It's the best iPod Apple ever created, morphed together with a phone, with the added benefits of a camera and so on. The screen on the EVO is way too huge, the kickstand is a ugly gimmick, and the resolution on the iPhone 4 is stunning. The iPhone should have won this Prizefight hands-down.

Yeah all that matters to me is what I think of the phone. My 4 is twice as good as my old 3G, and I thought that was the best phone I'd ever used. So I'm perfectly happy whether cNet tells me the EVO is better or not

multimedia wise, everything the Iphone can do, the EVO can do. Period.

But you cannot reverse that statement, and say the everything the EVO can do the Iphone can do. Therefore the EVO has to win that part.

You sound like a commercial. Just proves that all Apple fanboys are drones. Not trolling, just saying what I think is the truth. The amount of fanboyism here is ludicrous.

LOL at iPhone 4 owners crying like little girls because somebody thinks it's not the best phone ever. Grow up already, does your life not have meaning if the iPhone isn't the best? You better get used to it, android phones will have dual core CPU's with 720p displays and more before the iPhone gets updated again.

I like android but the EVO is too big and clunky.

The iPhone 4 is honestly the best phone ive ever owned, the screen by itself will win any prize fight for me.

Be your own critic.

It is like having these movie critics who give thumbs up to a film. I'm like, "Gee, Roger Ebert likes it. I will go see it then!" When I listen and try to cater to these critics' personal taste, I end up falling asleep. Many Best Picture winners are overrated and lack the replay value.

In November 2006, Sony had bad publicity with the PlayStation 3. Microsoft had the ring of death on their Xbox 360's. People still enjoy them.

We live in a society where info gets passed around like Paris Hilton. A pimple-faced geek can have a strong and defying opinion on his Facebook status update and manipulate other people (aka lurkers, potential sheep) to think exactly like him. That's why you will always find a twit in Twitter.

Forget what other people say. Only your experiences is what should matter to you. Their problem may not be your problem. But as they say, misery loves company.

Yeah, I can't believe there's so many fans of Apple on MacRumors.com

Anyway, Mr. Bloody Fart (if that IS your real name) what that guy was saying, I totally agree with (aside from the last bit). If you're a Mac user to begin with, the iPhone/iTunes ecosystem is one of the simplest, straight forward and 'fully automatic' media sharing systems around. For what it does, there's very little learning curve or hassle. It's a robust, sturdy system that's self accountable with more then enough content for most anybody... Android may certainly come with a lot of additional workflow options, customizability and basic "freedoms" due to being an open platform - but with all that added functionality comes a lot of extra work and responsibility on the part of the user.

Apple's ever growing infrastructure is, hands down, the simplest, most elegant and straight forward multi-device management I have ever seen.

Is it wrong of me, after being a loyal apple customer the last few years, that I'm considering returning my iP4 for a Droid X or maybe the EVO? All this negative press kinda scares me and the fact that apple really isn't doing anything about it, is frustrating.

I got a friend who has a EVO and it is so big!

LMAO!

Iphone 4 is still the best phone...but the evo is a good phone...just not as good as the Iphone.

Also the Android Market Place sucks compared to the Itunes App Store.
