iPhone 4 on Apple website is OFFICIALLY on backorder

Ok guys when I finished pre ordering mine, I got to the page where it says your reservation is confirmed, than it says your iphone 4 will be ready on the 24th for the pickup and pay, so does that mean I still get it on the 24th??btw I did this about an hour ago soo...

Just wondering, what would be my chances of going into my local Apple Store (Crabtree Valley Mall, Raleigh, NC) and getting an iPhone on launch day? I placed a pre-order (To be shipped by July 2nd) but I would like to have my iPhone asap and I am wondering if it would be worth my time to cancel that and just go to the store and pick one up instead.
