yeah...with there being so much trouble pre-ordering, I just went down to the local BB to do mine. Just found out though that you cant just go in right away in the morning......they are supposed to call me in the day or two beforehand to set up an appointment.....and I don't think they're opening early....

Ok, I couldn't help myself and registered for this forum! I ordered from Apple the first day at 7:31pm PST and was in the gap when the Apple store had the June 24th date, but my confirmation email had July 2. And I just got the "prepared for shipment" note!!! There is hope for some of us July 2nders! And I have no idea how to do a screen shot. Sorry!

That would be awesome if some of us July 2 people get them!!! My wife gets her iPhone on the 24th but due to delay on the servers mine was later.

It absolutely CAN ship early....but I wouldn't count on it. Not with this one. Too many orders and way to high of demand.

I'm in CA I was one of those people that had to pay tax on the unsubsidized amount even though I bought it subsidized. MA and RI had the same thing too. That's why it's so high. Heh

Do you know that when I got my first Iphone i didn't have it working for 4 days because of activation screw ups?? Is AT&T ready to have 600,000 or so phones start getitng activated on June 24th??? Of course the obvious answer would be: well they must have learned from the first time, but this latest pre-order fiasco doesn't have me so sure. What do others think.

several posts above mention the big concern about actually getting your new iphone 4 activated via itunes on June 24th. i know that i personally will wait and check to see if others are running into problems before i start the process. i remember being without a phone for most of a day at work when trying to upgrade to the newest OS.
