iPhone 4 OtterBox Case

Ok so I have a few pictures of the defender. I have never had an iphone before and I can be rough on my phones so I wanted this case to help with that.

I went to their site for instructions on how to put the ottercase on the iphone and one think it mentioned was removing the screen protector off all the 'windows' of the unit. Either the protector is on there really well or it doesn't have it. At the end of the video though it said it was for the 3gs/3g phones(even though the iphone 4 box said go to that link). I DO have a zagg screen protector on underneath of it and I have 0 issues I did NOT need to "oil" it up to get it to fit. Once the case was around my phone first thing I did was take a picture with the flash on and I had zero distortion. I then tried putting the phone in my pocket jeans(I do not wear jeans overly tight nor baggy, I wear jeans that fit properly). It comes out of your pocket just fine but you can't just "drop" the phone in your pocket and expect it to slide down the silicone around the case grips your pocket just enough to keep it from sliding easily down but doesn't hurt trying to get it out of your pocket at all. If you are keeping the phone in your pocket I dont think you will be keeping anything else in that pocket. The volume buttons work fine on the phone. The screen has not shown and bubbles yet. The headphone jack is pretty easy to access and they do not cover up the mic next to your speaker jack.

I just moved and I cannot find either of my digital cameras so these pictures were taken directly from my iphone 4. The last one is with the flash ON.

When people had the defendor for the 3gs did anyone try and use one of belkin's stretchy neoprene armband cases around the defendor? I wonder if its possible because I don't think I want to take these phone out of its case everytime I workout and run....

When exactly did you order if you don't mind me asking. I ordered it on 07/20 at about 5:30 and still no tracking number...
 
So I tried simpletracking.com to see if I can Figure out why my case has just been sitting in otterboxes warehouse since the 20th with the shipping lable. This is what I got.

Since other people posted their tracking information, I figured I'd post mine:

Fedex says that delivery is scheduled for the 27th. Anybody know if Fedex ground delivers earlier than is listed on their page?

that thing looks HUGE! wow. That really makes me think about the commuter vs. impact then. Geez. It looks cool, but its too big.

its supposed to be though. I had the defender for my 3G and I loved the bulk it added. I can't really text with both thumbs unless I have it on. Sure the 4 is cool looking but it's almost too thin, plus I am really REALLY paranoid about shattering it.

The specs say .66" thick. That is thick. The one I had for my 3G was a tad thicker than this iP4 one. It's bulky, plain and simple.

This case is for those that just plain need something rugged and can withstand some serious drops that just happen.

All their Defender series products serve a niche market. And quite well from my experience.
 
Got my iPhone 4 and iPad Defender cases today. iPhone case was pretty easy to put on but the iPad case took a bit more maneuvering.

I am going to have to decide if I can live with either for day-to-day carry.

The screen on the iPhone case is showing some oil slick visuals when the phone is asleep but I cannot detect them with the phone on. The screen feels fairly gritty compared to the iPhone's screen. I just used the instructions on the box and saw nothing about a film protector on the screen so I need to look into that as it might still be on there.

It does add some bulk to it but to me it but I think it feels like a square sized 3GS model. I ordered mine July 20 0936am and received it July 22 around 1pm using fedex free shipping. I received the sales receipt with tracking email right away after the site said my order had processed. I can post up a video once I can find my digital cameras. To switch the silent switch you pull the silicone tab out and switch the tab.
 
I have only seen the problem once or twice in the basement so I am not really the person to answer that. I have my full five bars as usual.
 
Is the screen protector something tat can be removed and put back? Or once is out, is gone? Is the logo on the back cover with clear? And can people hear you ok when talking on the phone with the case on? Also, how does the silicone feels on the case? Yesterday I found a ballistic case and gave it a try, but took it back today and have one of this coming. I guess I will just rock my invisible shield and OEM bumper...

At least you have a shipping lable for yours. I ordered on the 20th, and my card hasn't been charged yet!

maybe it didn't go through....I had to submit my order like 3 times before the website confirmed it went through.

Romeo, Once you remove your screen protector its out...for good. The cover on the back is clear around the apple. You can hear people just fine and it is comfortable to hold to your hear. I tested phone with my brother who also has IP4 and he told me I didn't sound any different with the case on. The silicone on the case feels fine to me, I was afraid of TO much grippiness but that is not the case it has grip but its not overdone.

Steph, I used to be able to do the "Death Grip" and watch bars drop but not anymore.

I have the order confirmation email, but when I check my CC balance I only see a temporary charge. Hopefully they will respond to my inquiry.

Maybe they only charge it when its been shipped? I just looked at my email confirmation and it didn't have a tracking number.
