Wait a minute? Does it actually say "Otter Box" on the screen protector? If so, it's a no go!

i think it's on the inner surface of the back piece, and you're just seeing it through the screen protector. otterbox would be crazy if they did that =p

I am sure this case is perfect for drop protection but man, it makes iphone so buffed up and thicker than a blackberry

That's the issue I'm having with this case. It's a bit too bulky for my taste. I'm gonna exchange it for a Griffin Reveal this AM. I dig the case and color just not the size so much.

the strange thing is that the sku that was on the receipt pictured on the last page is not in Best Buys inventory system. Also weird is the fact that it rang up for 49.09.

Good point. I didn't even notice that on my receipt. I didn't get a chance to return it this morning, but it's definitely going back this evening. The rainbow effect on the screen protector looks pretty bad and the flap at the bottom doesn't sit flush it's just there so to speak and that bugs me.

Still waiting on mine to ship. Ordered from Amazon, guess it was a one-day sale or something. $19.84 + $5 shipping!!

After reading about best buy, I walked into one a few minutes ago and sure enough they had blue and red. I picked up a blue one and went down the road to AT&T and returned my ballistic case.

Otterbox on colored cases:

These are authentic OtterBox cases. Best Buy will be carrying a red and blue version first but these colors and additional ones will be available on our website at a later date.
Brandi- to address your question, the availability of these cases had nothing to do with our web orders. The delay was caused by weather which held up shipments of product we were expected to recieve at our warehouse. It took us a couple of weeks to get the full quantities we had ordered. Best Buy's orders were delayed as well and many stores still do not have their cases, either the black or colored versions. All stores should have blue and red available by 8/22

I mentioned this above but will comment on this post as well so that other fans can see the answer. The information we had was that Best Buy would not have these cases out on their shelves until 8/22. As soon as this was posted yesterday I immediately followed up with our distribution team who investigated the situation. As it turns out, some Best Buy locations have recieved stock sooner than expected and began stocking the cases for sale. however, not all locations have the colors available. Now that I know some stores have these in stock, I will be providing this information to customers who ask about colors. Additionally, the blue, red, and more colors will be available at OtterBox.com in the next 1-2 months.

i called 1 best buy around me, and went to another. but neither had them in stock. the one i looked in only had a small section of i4 cases maybe there was another section that may have had them.

someone should write out what best buys have the case so far so other can go grab them as well!

I got my phone on Monday and was scared to death about breaking it because it felt so fragile. The next day I went out to my local best buy after looking at their selection online and was not pleased but I needed a case. To my surprise there was about 10 red and 10 blue of these otterbox defenders on the shelves. I picked up a blue one disappointed that there was no black but the blue is really growing on me.

People aren't really liking the bulk of the case but in the day I had the phone naked I felt like I was going to break it and was getting paranoid. This case only makes my phone about 1mm thicker than my 3G in it's slightly slimmer case, so the bulk does not bother me at all.

I do not feel worried that my phone will break at all and I love the way the silicone feels on the back, it's really nice.

Also, all my port covers line up perfectly, some people are saying the dock connector port doesn't fit and is just a flap, it took my about a minute to figure out how the port cover fits but once I did that it opens and stays closed flawlessly.

Also, the built in screen protector was not something I was thrilled about but so far it's working and being as clear or more clear than any screen protector I've used on previous iPhones, but maybe that's just the retina display shining through.

I would strongly recommend this case if you do not mind the extra bulk (I thought I would but for some reason it feels nice). Not to mention it offers the most protection of any case on the market right now.

That's my little review, I used to make fun of otterbox cases for being bulky, with the slimness of iPhone 4 the added bulk is welcome.

I concurr with cowsrus' review. I have the black version from the website and I absolutely love it. If protection from drops is your primary concern, this is the only case for you. I do not think it adds a ton of bulk. The bulk that it does add is useful and I'm not sure I could hang on to the phone without the case.

Kind of excited about the red and blue showing up at Best Buy. I went by my local store yesterday and they didn't have any. I'm going to run by again today or give them a call. I'm probably going to pick up the red and would love to have a white if it's produced. It would be great it if they sold the skins seperately so they could just be changed out.

How did you get the bottom flap to work. It appears that mine just doesn't wanna work for me

There's a little Line of rubber at the end of the flap. That tucks in under the plastic and then the top grips on top of the plastic. It's hard to explain but if you look at it it makes sense. Once you do it about twice it's pretty easy and jolds

Thanks ;) Still undecided about keeping it though

Just got a Red One from BB in Huntington NY

Tbh i got a imitation OB from ebay few days ago and the real otterbox isnt that far of a cry from the "fake" one...

The fake one from ebay was like 3 bucks without any holster but the protection factor seems the same..

Anyone else notice that the case seems to scratch the phone around the top corners when trying to install it in the plastic frame? I have installed and removed the phone about 3 times and noticed some scratches on the metal part.

I am always very careful but it just seems like it is to tight until you get the phone all the way seated in the plastic case part.
