So does everybody take their phone out of it's case when they charge it? Just wondering considering one would think it might get a little warm.

Just called the BB near me in Newington, CT and they just got a shipment in today of the Defender cases in the colors Red & Blue and you guys are gonna be jelious about this one; the also have the BLACK in stock as well :) Going there today after work to pick up me a black on.

BB in Jackson, MS have all three in as well, I bought both red and blue, in fact I picked up the last one in red they had.

Also what do people think about them coming in black and yellow like they did for the 3GS, But instead making the rubber part black and the hard shell yellow?

or if they did that on any of the colors that are out now?

im not sure ..but some people said that if you use your iphone with a screen protector on this case it isnt as responsive. but i have not seen this problem but it does bubble/oil/watermark but responsiveness inst a problem on either mine or my brothers phone.

Well I just put mine on and have been using it a lot and I have an SGP Anti-Fingerprint on underneath and I can tell you that mine doesn't bubble or watermark or anything and the screen is just as responsive as it would be without the case one.

One complaint that I do have is the shield itself reflecting light. I wish OtterBox used some type of Anti-Glare film instead. For that reason I just might have to cut the screen shield out.

im guessing the screen your using is a matte finish? im looking for a matte finish that installs like zag/bodyguardz/skiomi with watter

FINALLY got my shipping notice today although this morning I already picked up a blue defender from my local best buy. I'll take the blue one back when the black one finally arrives.

Question for you guys that have the defender: Did any of you have the defender for the 3g or 3gs. reason is Im wondering if the the holster is much improved?
The 3g holster suked. If the holster is not considered great i cannot buy it, any thoughts?

I think the holster is alot better than the 3GS because I prefer to wear my holster horizontally as oppose to vertically and the fact that you can use the holster as a stand is dope as well.

I'm curious about this too. I'm looking for a stand that will be compatable with the Otterbox too. While I like the looks of the Elago, I was thinking of giving the PED3-Form stand (http://www.amazon.com/PED3-FORM-iPh...4?ie=UTF8&s=electronics&qid=1281667535&sr=8-4) a try just to be safe since I'm almost certain it will work. However, I do like the looks of the Elago much more.

I hope Otterbox at least lets us know what colors are in development/production. I have the black and really like it, but saw both the red and blue at BB yesterday and passed on them as they just didn't look as good to me as the black. I would be interested in a white though. On a related note, I did notice that it seems the black skin is made out of a different material than the blue and red ones. The blue and red ones seem to have a smooth and slick finish on them, but the black that I have is very sticky and I am constantly wiping lint off it despite the fact that it's never in my pocket. I hope the black is changed to have the same sort of finish as the blue & red as I prefer the feel of them, but like the looks of the black more.

Best Buy, uptown Charlotte had plenty of all three colors. Just came in today. I purchased a black one. Curious to see if I can handle the biulk.

What you're saying about the black being more of a lint magnet versus the colored ones seems to be a property of black silicone in general. The Otterbox for the 3GS is the same way. The black is lint prone, but the white was very smooth and not near as bad with lint. Every black silicone case I've had is like that versus a colored model. Like the SwitchEasy Colors...my black is lint prone and very sticky, whereas the colored versions are slicker and less likely to attract lint. It must have something to do with the dye used to color them making the silicone slightly smoother. Black must be the natural color of the material. This is why I went with the blue Otterbox. It's much smoother and not really lint attracting.

This may not look as nice, but I use a $2 card holder from office max or office depot to hold my phone in the otterbox case.

Just got mine today. I was kind of worried when I got it it was in a big yellow envelope and didn't feel like it was big enough to be the right thing. Upon opening it I realized it was just the case itself in a plastic baggie, no packaging and a card with instructions that also said retail packaging was omitted to shorten order processing time. Fine with me though didn't have to spend the time opening packaging. I'm very happy with it so far.

My BB finally got their Defenders in today and I picked one up in black on the way to an oil change appointment. Definitely less bulky than the one I had and abandoned for my 3G. So far no oil slick issues either. The screen protector definitely doesn't feel as nice as the bare screen. I will either get used to it...or rip the sucker out.

So far I am impressed. Great protection and looks good...in a rugged kind of way....just like me. :D
