Gaia, can you report back and let me know if they have bumpers at the store? I'm curious if they are giving them out to people who are picking up their phones.

You got on the list at the same store, same date as me! I also got my email today too. I guess they're doing a pretty good job at keeping up with the list.

Where are you located? I really hope you get it today! I had an incompetent sales rep who almost sold me the 32GB when I wanted the 16GB and when he went to sync my contacts my 3Gs' screen protector was all scratched..imagine if I didn't have one on :eek:
 
While reading this threat I decided to make an account.

I am currently on Day 18. I hope tomorrow can finally be the day I will receive the email! :rolleyes:

Just got my email today from Flatiron Crossing in Broomfield, CO! Been on the waiting list since July 2.

I got an email today to pick up a black 32 gb iPhone at the Costa Mesa Apple Store in CA today. I've already picked one up so I don't need it. If you want it, send an email to frd333do33@yahoo.com and I'll give you the info to pick it up.

Just picked the phone up from Apple and I am getting it set up now. So far everything seems..AMAZING!

I spoke to an Apple employee and he said that they received a large shipment of iPhone and iPads this morning. Good to luck to everyone still waiting! :apple:
 
After reading all 43 (so far) pages of this thread, I thought I'd post my stats:

Got on the list at the West County Mall (St. Louis) on July 12 for a 16gb.

The wait is killing me. Silly, I know - only 10 days have passed. I was told that it'd be "about a week." Ha! From what I've been reading on here - it definitely seems they are most likely shipping to the stores based on sales volume. (Which is the norm in retail) The stores with the higher sales volume will get more phones in each shipment, etc. Makes sense, but also makes my wait even more stabby. :) Oh, and in reading about some wait times, I just know that I'm going to get the email when I go out of town the second weekend in Aug for a wedding. Gah!

I'm going to wait on the apple store, but call the occasional Best Buy in the meanwhile. My 1st gen iPhone gave up the ghost about two weeks ago, so I'm using a borrowed 3G for now.

Anyone else still waiting in St. Louis?

Hey, when I asked for the bumper, they said they didnt have any.
By the way, if you haven't gone there yet, avoid a tall dude with glasses. He made my iPhone 4 Purchase a nightmare

Anyone on the list at the Ridgeland, MS store?

They told me it would be a week and I called after a week and then they told me three more weeks :(
 
just curious....are you guys waiting for the phone so you can unlock it?
Im just visiting the states and i really hope my phone comes in before i leave:(

In Cyprus(where i live) they sell the phone for about 2000 euros..

i know, your mouths just fell open..
 
If I get the phone from apple store do they open the phone there? Just curious cuz I don't want anyone touching my phone before I get a case and film on it.... :eek:

no questions not even asking my name

My girlfriend went to the Leawood, KS apple store on Sun 18th put herself down for a 16GB and me down for a 32GB, she hasn't heard anything but I got my email for the 32GB today. We went in and I gave her my 32GB and I went back on the list for another 32GB.

Summary:

On list for 32GB and 16GB Sun 18th

Received 32GB Wens 21st

16GB no word - canceled

Re-Listed Wens 21st for another 32GB

Southdale Minneapolis

My wife put her name on the list on 7/12 at Southdale in Minneapolis and got hers the same day as mine, today. I put my name on the list 7/2.

Must have gotten a huge shipment.
 
I'm on my 23 day waiting for a 32gb black iphone at the Louvre Paris Apple Store :-(

I received the "your iphone will be here sooner than you think.." email minutes after reserving it at the store, so they got my email correctly... Don't know what could be the problem :-(
 
Wow, I have only read a bit of this thread, but is the wait to get a new phone really this long? I ordered from AT&T... am I looking at a similar wait here? :confused:
