NYC? you'll never get a CCW. And once you get a CCW and buy a handgun, it doesn't stop there. You need training. Go to Thunder Ranch and spend the money to get trained. Its not just carry this tool and you are all set. no way. even if you were armed why risk getting into a gun fight. let them have the i4. A good friend of mine was involved in a gunfight. He has never been the same since. He still carries religiously (and he went to many classes with me to Thunder Ranch) but he's still suffers from panic attacks and PTS sometimes and its been 10yrs since...not to even touch on attorney fees, court, and losing a respectable job. His life changed forever.

And that is why I will always live in Florida. If you act within the law and your rights and shoot, and maim or kill the BG, there are no legal repercussions and they or the their family cannot sue you.

1. Get your CCW license
2. Get a gun
3. Shoot them

BTW I highly suggest the Ruger SR9c... don't leave home without mine ;)

1. Ignore the NRA wack jobs and their red herrings.
2. Move to a country with strict gun control laws.
3. Enjoy the peace and security of being able to go wherever you want, any time of day, without worrying about you and your family being murdered by some crackhead or disgruntled office worker.

useless...

they wont be wearing the same clothes they were during the robbery.

and a lot of people fit the description of:

(example)
6'0 tall
white
jewellery
etc

as for the OP, it's good that you're okay but SERIOUSLY, what did you expect from AT&T/Apple? they didn't rob you, they aren't going to compensate you either.

talk about "rolleyes". What a LAME, USELESS example of a description. that's a sort of generic description the media may give you on suspect, but the cops usually have a more detailed version from the victims. you give details like facial features (scars, piercings, complexion, hair, etc.) and such. even if they don't get caught tomorrow, at least there's a record and if their "friend" snitches them out in the future, the cops/DA will have some corroborating evidence.

At least with the draconian NYC gun laws you are safe because honest folk such as yourself cannot lawfully obtain or possess a gun.

Oh wait, the felons who robbed you didnt care about those laws.

These kinds of things dont happen that often here because the thieves are aware everyone has a gun, and will use it.

Scum bags! Years ago I had my vehicle broken into a few times...stereos stolen....that kind of thing. It just sucks! It sickens me to think about these scum bag people that pray on others rather than getting a job and working to pay for their own stuff.

So very sorry to here you got robbed. And at gun point. Jesus...I hope they catch these people. Don't know the law...but anybody that uses a weapon in a crime should do 20 years minimum. Very scary. At least you're all right.

1.) Ignore ignorant posters from communist societies.
2.) Move from the place you live with strict gun control laws.
3.) Relax.

Sucks really bad, 2 months ago, my girlfriends purse was stolen right out of her hands in broad daylight while i was 60 feet away in the gym at Sac City College. By an african american 20 years old I would say. Her purse had my 3GS in it because I was gonna surprise her and let her play with it while I was in gym. I ended up chasing him to an alleyway and did not go in for safety reasons. He took my phone, headphones and 40$ cash, dumped the purse and dumped all his clothes in the back. Police did nothing, the morning before, i backed up my 933 pictures with videos to my MacBook Pro, very lucky to do that. Had to wait until June 23 to get the 4, bc I had a backup 3G. Lesson learned...I am NOT bringing my iPhone 4 to school. EVER. and two. I carry a nice HUMVEE knife everywhere I go now.

LOL @ 'Communist societies' cant believe you are still falling for that boogie man stuff - that is where the ignorance lies, you have been duped.

I live in a country with gun control laws and I have never even seen a gun, let alone had one used against me.

Do you know what communism is? I'm guessing not. You know, that's the one thing I don't get about America. Why on Earth do they believe that more guns = safety?

Even as a CCW carrier (usually a Kel-Tec PF-9 or M&P 9mm), I doubt I would have even drawn my handgun in that situation. If they've already got a pistol pointed at you, there's a good chance that drawing yours would get you instantly shot (unless they're toting around an unloaded or replica pistol). You did the right thing by just giving up your belongings and getting out alive. It's just stuff, and it's not worth risking your life.

+1 i dont see how OP wouldve been able to draw.

Some of the cowboys on here need to simmer down. A CCW might makeyou feel like clint eastwood but it wouldnt have prevented this particular situation.

i was being generic, but more than one person has scars in the same place/area, piercings, etc...

plus, while you're getting attacked, the first thing a person will likely think of is "am i gonna live, am i gonna die, do what they say, etc" not "ok let's remember what he's wearing or how he looks"
