psst the "3G Touch" is actually an iPhone. And if you want to pretend you have one, here's some info to help you get started: http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Iphone_3g

I'm pretty sure my 3G (third generation) Touch can't make phone calls on the ATT network. I don't need a wiki to tell me that. And I needed to buy a Satechi charger to keep the damn thing alive on trips from the East Coast to the West. Three charges to be exact. Says more about the quality of the Satechi than the iPod though. Makes me wonder how well it will do charging the iPhone 4. OK, now you can whine at me with some more fanboy garbage. blah blah blah

Can everyone please stop turning every forum topic on this board to EVO vs iPhone fights? Its obviously like Mac vs PC... some people will like PCs better and will defend those, some will like Macs better and defend those. There are obviously good things about iPhones and good things about EVOs... I know plenty of people that have EVOs who are happy with them, and plenty of others that have EVOs and hate them. Personally, anything larger than an iPhone is too big to be usable as a phone for me... but you know what? That's just me.

EVOs are having a lot of problems. So did first gen iPhones. Both phones have cameras that are good for smartphones, yet not as good as actual cameras. Both phones will be obsolete in a year.

There. Hug and make up.

Apps. And access to every single book my wife has purchased from Kindle and iBooks. If I wanted a great OS, I'd get an android phone.

I thought every fandroid say that they have almost as many apps as the iPhone but without the crap ones. Hmmm :L

Anyway iOS is the USP of the iPhone and quite frankly still the best part of the iPhone, you can not say the droid has a better OS it's fugly, I mean it works fine and fast and everything but still it is fugly, I have a HTC Desire and a iPhone and the iPhone's OS still wins hands down. I would say the hardware has been the most limiting factor of the iPhone (which is why I am looking forward to IP4 :D)

Still I want at least 64gb on my phone with HD... still pre-ordered IP4 though :L

WOW, the Video quality is like WOW, now if this is just as good in low light SUPER WOW

Not bad, approx 4.78GB/hr depending on how much motion is in the video. Sadly my poor PM 2.0 here at work was having a hard time even playing that little 9 second file.

Images look very washed out compared to the Apple site examples. No surprise there!

No surprise that a photography amateur does not take the same quality photo as a professional, on the SAME EQUIPMENT.

Writing an article about that.

EVO will be obsolete much sooner than that(have you seen the rate at which they release those things?). And if Apple releases a Verizon iPhone 4, the ATT version will be obsolete much quick as well.

I uploaded the video to my site too, in case someone cant download it.

Apple apps have the best selection of time-wasting games. Android has far and away the best selection of non-gaming apps, and most of the great ones are free. Android apps can also all be purchased and then "returned" within 24 hours if you don't like them. Would love that option on the Apple app store, especially considering how incredibly bad the rating system has become.

...and even better on the EVO screen, with its inferior resolution compared to iPhone4 :p

Yeah, but only if you zoom in on them a ton ;)

I gotta be honest, pics look damn good on my Touch and my wife's iPhone, as does text. But then again I don't view my devices from 5 centimeters away. The new resolutions we're going to be seeing on all phones is just marketing crap. But what really sucks is Apple waited to do this on the useless iPhone's small screen instead of doing it on the one screen that could have used it - the iPad. But now you know exactly how they're going to pitch next year's iPad.

Video is bit shaky (was expected). We will need a kind of tripod to get good video.

I also found to be a bit wash out with lack of contrast.

Meh, the pics look ok but they're good for a phone. I don't think many people that care about how a picture looks will take pics on their iPhone (or an EVO/Droid/whatever) over an actual camera.

In other news the sky is blue and water is wet. :D

Have these pictures been manipulated ? The pictures may not look a little washed out because they have been downsized in order so that they can be posted on a website.

As an owner of both an iPhone and an EVO. I can say this comment is 1000 percent false. The productivity apps on the iPhone blow away the same for Android.
