I ordered mine 1st July at apple store arndale manchester
I picked it up today:)

That's great news! Congrats :).
Mine should be coming in the next coud if days then :).
The only thing is, I live about 2 hours drive away from MK apple store plus I work until 5:30.

Did the email mention how long the reservation lasted for?
If I had the email through tomorrow, I could get someone to pick it up for me the following day (Wednesday) if the reservation lasted that long.

Hope someone can help!

The pick up e-mail I received said it would be reserved until the store closed the following day. 18:00 in my case for the Brighton store. I think this is the case for all priority list reservations.

yep you have til close of shop following day to collect
I didnt get the mail til lunchtime but was in town so it was easy
BTW
No issues to report with iphone !

That's great then :D.
I should be okay! It would be so bad for me to wait all this time and then miss out!
Can't wait for my email!
Did you guys set up contracts in store?
Does it take long?

Which phone did you reserve at the Regent Street Store?

I signed up on the 28th and picked up the phone three days ago. It was a 32GB one.

Can anyone confirm that I can buy the phone sim-free when i pick it up in store?
I am going to have to send a friend to pick it up for me so obviously they wont be able to sign the contract for me.

Anyone want vodaphone? There's a notice in their window in The Centre, Milton Keynes saying iP4 in store today - see in store for details. I've just gone past.

sim free are not available but on contract they are everywhere central london.

Yay!

Regent Street <----->Priority List 29th June.

Picked up today!

Cannot comment on any issues yet though.

:)

I got on the list 28th June in Exeter...got email yesterday (19th) to say my 32gb was in ready for collection by end of today...cancelled tho (as was able to get one through o2 on upgrade) so hopefully someone else got theirs 1 phone sooner!

Day 17 for my 32GB iPhone.

I'm leaving the UK on Friday and I don't think that I'll get my email this week.

Is it possible that someone else pick up my iPhone for me? A friend of mine and me picked up a 16GB iPhone yesterday (after 19days) and nobody required an ID.. so is there a chance for me?

He is wrong, I just got my Italian 3GS iPhone exchanged at the Regent Street apple store.

There are multiple links in the net to genuine apple documentation stating they may not officially support foreign iPhones.

They may well support yuor 3GS but they didn't have to if you read the manual.

Hello there.

This seems like a more suitable thread.

I was emailed yesterday by Apple letting me know my iPhone was ready to collect from the Apple Store. I'm going tonight, but I have a couple of stupid questions first.

1 - Are all iPhones reserved on the priority list SIM-free and unlocked?
2 - Does payment have to be made by the name on the reservation - it's being bought for me, but I'll be there, as well as the cardholder.

Thanks.

Yes you can just buy it Sim Free. I picked mine up without a Sim or contract.

I suspect you may have the answers already, but thought I would post in case someone has similar questions.

1 - Yes all phones purchased through an Apple Store are SIM Free and unlocked. You can choose to take it SIM free or sign up to a contract before you leave the store.
2 - Don't think they are worried who actually pays for it. As long as they can verify that the person collecting is the person named on the reservation they will take payment from someone else. I was told that if I wanted someone to collect on my behalf they would need me to call ahead and the person collecting would need to bring in the pick up mail.

Hi.
I'm will arrive London on Friday and stay there till Monday.
there is a chance for me to buy iphone 4 (16GB or 32GB) Simfree without order before?
I would ordered, buy it's not possible online or over the phone.

thank you for your help.

I was put in the list on the 6th for 2 of 16gb and 1 of 32gb iPhone, which mean it'll be a week from now. I'll keep you guys updated.

There is no way to walk in and get your iPhone right off anywhere in the UK.
