How is my point a fail?

My point is there are plenty of things that are extremely well made that are more fragile than cheaper lower quality products.

A good example is a dog clutch transmission like used in a race car compared to a syncromesh transmission like used in my subaru. The dog clutch racing transmission is SUBSTANTIALLY better made than my transmission, but if I tried to use the racing transmission I'd destroy it because it requires skill to use it without damaging it as it is more sensitive.

In general increased persistent and built quality will make something more fragile and sensitive to issues as the more precise something is, the lower it's tolerances are.

This is where even a mechanical timex is more durable than a rolex. because rolexs have substantially more complicated, elaborate and PRECISE parts. So you drop both watches, a gear moves a little bit in both, on the timex, the part is still within tolerance (less precise more tolerance) the rolex is outside of tollerance and jams, and what do you know, broken watch.

Oh, and so you know timex doesn't make a true mechanical watch this was all just for the sake of argument. Most cheaper analog watches you see in stores are actually digital watches that use a motor to turn the dials on the face. That's how they are able to run using batteries.

Regardless, your argument is the one that is a failure. Asking for a phone to be drop proof is like asking for a car that is crash proof. You can't get mad at an automaker if you crash your car and it get's messed up because... you still are the one who crashed the car.

Never did i ask for a phone to be drop proof. I simply stated that the iP4 is a china doll and they break much easier than the older ones. It was as simple as that and for that reason it is not better built than a Droid X.....which i dont even like because they are imo too big!

Only on Macrumors do you see a ton of people recommending against Apple.

I myself hate droids. IMO they are sluggish and not the most navigational friendly and the Droid X is not pocket friendly and feels like I'm carrying a malnourished iPad around. (Meaning its lighter and smaller but still feels big).

To answer the OPs original questions which seem as if they are unanswered (at least after reading most of the first page).

Rumors have it that Apple has had a bunch of CDMA processors (CDMA is Verizon and Sprints network) created. This could mean CDMA iPhone.

There is also a CDMA testing center on Apples campus. If they weren't making a product with CDMA its highly unlikely they would have a CDMA testing center since I'm sure that center isn't cheap.

ATTs exclusivity is rumored to run out really soon. No one knows if it has or not or when it does, its just a rumor.

My prediction is Att will throw boat loads of money to keep it's exclusive iPhone. Att has deep pockets and the iPhone is their flagship device.

Thats what I'm worried about. But you know what, Apple could easily build a device similar to the iPhone but better for the Verizon network. Just like the way there are multiple android phone devices, why can't there be multiple apple phone devices?

So, I talked with a Verizon agent today, and he suggest that its best for me to wait til my Upgrade date, which is Dec. 14th, cause if I wait for that day, I'll be able to get $30 off on my upgrade, so getting a Droid X for $169.99, is pretty damn good.

But the way I see it, if I'm gonna be waiting til Dec. 14th, then I might as well wait til Jan. 5th. It'll only be 3 weeks away, and hopefully the Keynote rumors of Verizon CEOs guest appearance is true. You know, the rumors of him attending a meeting before the Keynote, and him being able to speak before Steve Jobs does during the Keynote.

I'm just gonna wait. I'm in no hurry.

iPhone isnt coming to Verizon anytime soon. 2012 is when it will come if it is going to. Apple imo would be foolish to sign another exclusive with AT&T.

What about all this talk with the Verizon CEO and the Keynote? A part of me does think it could've been a 5 year agreement, but I just hope that the exclusivity ended this year.

Also, like I mentioned. There are multiple Android phone devices, so why can't Apple have multiple phone devices too?

They're probably working on a phone for Verizon, but its not being called the iPhone, or maybe it is called the iPhone, but it will be like iPhone V, which is perfect, cause it'll be like the roman numeral V for 5, and V for Verizon.

Just a thought.

Just a note: no one knows when the supposed "five years" started.

a) Was it when Cingular and Apple signed a contract in the summer of 2006?

b) Was it when Jobs first showed off the iPhone in January 2007?

c) Or was it when the iPhone first went on sale in summer 2007?

They all have different ending dates.

We have been seenig talk for three years now. Was a ton of talk about Verizon before the iP4 came out and of course it didnt happen. I just wouldnt hold youor breath. Im thinking 2012 and i hope they open it up to all the carriers. Doesnt mean i will get one. I may.

Depends.
I loved my iPhone but im also loving what Android does and it is starting to really get good and Im not one to have one of each.

There is no iPhone talk about the keynote, it will be all about LTE, LTE handsets and tablets.
